“i told you, no more strolling around after midnight. vampire sightings have been on the rise. you best stay put.”
“but daddy!” you whined, petulantly stomping on the floor, “i have my cross! and they don’t come into the castle anyway.”
“silence.” your father held your head down into a bow, his stern voice leaving no room for disobedience. “you will listen to me. or i shall have guards stationed in front of your room.”
you huffed, reluctantly agreeing. “.. yes, daddy.”
“good,” he patted your head gently before leaving. he was a loving father who did pamper you a lot, but he knew better than to be lenient on you when it came to such dangerous affairs. he couldn’t risk having you, his only daughter, caught by a vampire, especially with all the horror stories circulating around lately.
you heard about them from passing maids or patrolling knights, each of them sharing new nauseating details; how some bodies would be found mangled beyond recognition and laid bare on clear view for the morning’s witnesses, how some were kept intact but sucked off to the very brim, leaving shriveled skin and rotting scent, the victims’ mouths open in what seemed to be agonizing screams.
they were alive through it all, feeling their blood slowly being drained out of them, and there was nothing they could do about it.
you swallowed the lump in your throat, sat on your princess bed, hugging your plushie tighter. the stories did scare you, but you found it hard to stay still. since your mother passed away years ago, you spent hours at her wisteria garden every night without fail, watching the trees until you were lulled to sleep, and you swore you always felt her presence that way.
you physically couldn’t sleep without going to that garden first, refusing to let grief plant its seeds in your heart. you twitched restlessly, before finally getting up.
a vampire couldn’t get through castle’s security anyway, and the sightings were all far off, mainly in public places like parks or near lakes, where crowds were gathered.
plus, you had your cross, and you were quite literally drowned in silver, as was your entire royal family.
and anyway, you’d only stay one hour, you promised yourself. you just needed to put your heart at peace for a little bit, watching the night breeze blow the sweet petals right into your hands, relaxing your mourning soul.
you picked up your cross, sneakily making your way to the garden.
you sighed in awe, the sight never got any less ethereal. it was a beautiful garden your mother used to tend to, seemingly unending as it faded into the horizon, while you watched the moon set down on it.
it was a full moon today, and your mother had never felt so close.
a little smile tugged at your lips. you sighed, “i miss you, mom. i can feel your presence with me so clearly tonight.”
“i don’t think the presence you’re feeling is your mom, sweetheart.”
you screamed, jumping off your bench, tripping over yourself and landing right on your butt.
the voice let out a booming laugh, “woah, watch out!”
you scoffed, flushed red with embarrassment, puffing out your chest and pointing at the silhouette. “show yourself right now, fool! how dare you sneak up on me, i shall have you executed!”
they came closer, the moonlight bouncing off their taunting smirk, as more of their features came into light. “my, my. executing me over a little scare? don’t you think that’s a wee bit too harsh, princess?”
the figure was a pale, dark-haired woman you didn’t seem to recognize. her attire was not that of a maid’s, perhaps more knightly? but it still didn’t ring a bell.
“who are you?” you huffed, indignant, still flustered about your earlier reaction, “tell me your name right this instant, i shall inform my father about this!”
she stepped closer, now much more visible. her smile got wider, and her canines gleamed under the moonlight.
you squealed, crawling back, quickly grabbing your cross and lifting it in front of your face, squeezing your eyes shut. “protect me, holy father! keep this evil away from me!”
she knelt down to your height, lowering your hand off your face, smiling condescendingly. “what are you doing?”
she chuckled, pinching your cheek, “aw, that was serious? you’re so cute.”
you honestly were more embarrassed than scared, finding in yourself the audacity to slap her hand off. “don’t toy with me! i-if you want to kill me, just get it over with! i may be a princess, but i also have my warrior’s honor!”
she frowned, almost like she felt bad for you. that look only made heat rise further up your cheeks, and you whined, kicking your legs, “stop embarrassing me!!”
“but you’re embarrassing yourself. i haven’t even done anything yet.”
“that’s the problem!” you whimpered. you didn’t even know what you were on about; instead of being glad she wasn’t hostile yet, you only seemed offended, more concerned with saving face than actually saving yourself.
she laughed, propping her face on her palm, amused, “what an odd princess.”
she took the cross from your hands, examining it with her fingers, “hm, what exactly about this is supposed to repulse vampires?”
“they’re holy,” you pouted, sulking about your humiliation. “they purge evil, like you. well, they’re supposed to.”
you watched her fiddle with the cross, fascinated as she felt every edge of it. why was she not attacking you? she surely seemed strong enough to. she managed to get through the castle’s security, making it to your secluded haven without a peep.
she was certainly intriguing, and you found yourself wanting to ask her questions rather than running away. after all, you’d probably never get a chance to talk to a vampire as tame as this one.
“um,” you broke the silence, playing with the hem of your dress, “why are you not biting me? aren’t you a real vampire?”
she tore her eyes off the object, smiling at you, “i am, princess. and i will, i’m just saving you for later. i heard of a pretty princess in this castle, so i had to check it out for myself.”
she took one of your hair locks in her hand, twirling it around her deathly cold finger, her thumb tracing the contours of your face. “you really are pretty.”
you blushed, huffing. “o-of course i am. i’m a princess.”
“so cocky,” she chuckled, crawling closer to you. your breath hitched, fear and anticipation seizing your limbs, hands curling around the dirt under you.
she lifted your chin up with her index, gazing down at you, and you felt a foreign heat pool in your stomach. “am i the first vampire you’ve seen?”
“yes,” you swallowed, flustered, “i’ve never met one in real life. only stories.”
she let out a muffled laugh, “i could tell from that little cross, sweetheart.”
you flushed again, whining, “stop it!! it’s what i was taught! i hate you!”
she only laughed more, entertained by your reaction. she patted your cheek, before finally standing up, dusting the dirt off her knees.
“well, i just wanted to see you tonight,” she smiled down at you, “i like what i see. i’ll be back here tomorrow, and i will be hungry.”
you frowned, confused. “why are you telling me that? i won’t leave my room tomorrow, then. that’d be stupid.”
“humans can be quite stupid.” was the only thing she added, before dissipating into thin air.
there you were, seated on your bench, trembling. you gripped your gown tighter. what were you doing here? you had no idea.
it wasn’t even for the trees this time, you just couldn’t get her out of your mind. you wanted to see her, once more.
“missing your mommy again?” the rasp in her voice sent a chill down your spine, your hands shaking on your lap.
“no,” you mumbled, not looking up, “wanted to see you.”
“aw,” she cooed, now in front of you, as she poked under your jaw, urging you to lift your head.
“are you gonna eat me tonight?” you batted your lashes at her.
she hummed, amused. “i did warn you, didn’t i? didn’t you say it was stupid?”
you sulked, lowering your head, “… i guess i am stupid.”
she bent down to your level, and you felt your heart skip a beat at the sight. you didn’t see her face so up close yesterday.
her face was as fair as a doll’s, with eyes just as milky. a confusing realization dawned on you.
she chuckled, “you’re good.”
“woah,” you stared at her, plain amazed now, “then how can you sense me so clearly? surely it must be hard being a blind vampire.”
she brought a finger to your neck, pressing down on your jugular vein, “i can hear your blood coursing through you. it was particularly easy today, with how terrified you were, anticipating my arrival. i could hear your poor heart intensely thudding against your ribs.”
you blushed, her cold hand resting so intimately on your neck, making you squeeze your thighs together. “y-you have to be lying. you can’t hear blood from that far, so accurately.”
“oh, but i can,” her hand trailed lower, earning a soft gasp from you as it slid over the curve of your breast, down the dip of your waist, to find your inner thigh. “and just now, i heard all your blood rush south. here.”
she meanly prodded at your clothed cunt.
you squeaked, flushing red, “p-pervert! don’t touch me!”
“i can sense dread,” she leaned down to press a kiss to your neck, that only made your mind go haywire with fear that she would bite and end your life, “but also arousal. did you know that the human brain often confuses the two?”
you whimpered, wrapping your arms around her, “i-i’m not aroused— ahh..”
“but you are,” she quipped, her voice a low sensual murmur. “so, so aroused.”
she littered you with kisses and teasing nips — each one felt like a threat to your very life — as you helplessly mewled into her ear, her hands bunching up your gown around your waist.
“n-not in my mother’s garden, this isn’t holy—”
“your god isn’t real, princess,” she slid your panties to the side, the cold air hitting your wet cunt. “i am.”
“mmph! ah! oh!” you moaned, pinned against a wisteria tree, one thigh wrapped around her hip, as the other dangled uselessly, while she deliciously rubbed your clit up against hers.
“toph,” she grunted, rocking her hips up against yours, “my name’s toph. say it.”
“mngh, toph!” you whimpered, tears streaming down your face at the unrelenting pressure on your puffy clit. “s-so close—”
“i know,” she moaned as well, “fuck, so good.”
you sniffled, “g-gonna cum—”
“don’t you dare,” you yelped, startled by the sudden smack on your thigh, “you don’t get to until i tell you to.”
you whine, crying, “b-but i’m so—”
“quiet!” she yelled, her fangs glistening, frightening you into silence. she rutted up against you, sweaty brows furrowed in concentration, “don’t test me, woman.”
you quietly sobbed, clinging to her, your climax threateningly close. “p-please—”
“shut the fuck up. don’t rush me, slut. be patient.”
you sniffled, clawing at her back, desperately mumbling her name.
“oh fuckk,” she pressed a rough brief kiss to your lips, “go on. come for me, now.”
a choked cry escaped your throat, as your orgasm brutally crashed down on you at her command, your legs spasming.
she grinned, muffling your cries with a mean kiss, thrusting her tongue in your mouth. she harshly bit down on your lip, tasting the warm blood gushing out of it. “that’s a good girl. just listen to me, and you’ll stay alive.”
you were quivering in her arms, dazed with pain and pleasure, and weakly nodded.
she took you back to your little bench before finally setting you down. you were still trembling under her gaze.
“tomorrow,” she adjusted her clothes back, “i’ll come again. think wisely.”
you watched her leave, licking your busted lip.
oh, you definitely were going to be stupid again.
