I think the biggest tragedy of the SecSen tag on Ao3 is the lack of an E fic with the holy trifecta of Sec service top, praise kink and emotional connection. Especially with Net.

See, because- and this is a Very Important and Super Duper Serious character analysis without any biases- allow me to make my case- 1. SecSen is a machine created to be constantly active, it was Not made to sit still when there's Shit To Be Done™. 2. That there is like a quadruple princess, you've Got to serve that. 3. its Big Whole deal that is hammered in canon as an "of course" fact is that it exists to serve. Nothing else it desires (*lie), but to do as it was told/programmed to do. Sec's a bootlicker. Explain to it how and it will make its partner see stars. It Needs to be good. 4. Get told it indeed was good? Holy shit? Consider ☝. What if a moment of inner relaxation- a sort of "Directive Satisfied" moment where for a second the tension leaves its systems before it returns as the deed is not completely done yet, achieving a relevant back-'n-forth if the praise keeps coming. It's main Directive does not have a completion condition so this could be a "new", satisfactory feeling. Fullfilling a purpose has to be like crack to it. 5. *It is very much canonical characterization that the toaster secretly aches for companionship and that it mourns the loss of its siblings (Needolin). That's all close bonds lost and I humbly think it should cling on to what Hornet offers once Sec recognizes for what it truly is.
