i saw someone on tiktok say that fanfic & ao3 helped them learn to use their screen reader and i am fully going to take that and run to improve my screen reader skills AND learn to read braille/use my braille display

#gonna be fitting the blind stereotype rly well tomorrow for conference day whatever #bc i have a migraine and my eyes feel like they're gonna pop out of my skull #so i will be wearing sunglasses inside tomorrow 💖#i actually cant fully tell if migraine or tired or dehydrated or stressed or pms #or some mix of everything #or if god forbid im getting sick #all i know is my eyes and skull Hurr #*hurt and i probably shouldn't be on my phone #bc lights? also rly hurt #im always a lil light sensitive but rn even with #my nonexistent peripheral field #the light next to my bed is bothering me #i cant actually even like See it but it's still producing enough light to hurt

#flying to a state ive never been to tomorrow and this is also my first like really truly solo trip #to think i am only confident in doing this bc i have a guide dog now...#still super nervous but more so about flying in general #my airport pre-anxiety is actually way lower than it's ever been #i know that my dog will get me through safely so im way less anxious about navigating crowds and chaos #more nervous about missing flights (i have some very short layovers)#and not getting someone to help me through tsa/to me gate - particularly on my return trip

#i got blood work today as i always do before my annual physical and i fear i might be dying actually #have low blood co2 something off w/ chloride levels cant remember if high or low and also kinda high cholesterol #which is not new but it is annoying bc i fr dont think i eat that poorly and have already cut some high cholesterol things out of my #rotation??? ig ive been doordashing a lot but again i try to pick relatively balanced things #also i walk ALOT like i dont rly consider myself unhealthy bc i average like 3 miles walking a day and work a desk job so #3 miles is Great when u work at a desk #so idgi and think maybe im just dying rip #edit/update: i looked into my medications to see if they could be playing a role and well yes.#unfortunately the medication i take for my eyes can impact the levels from my bloodwork that were looking wonky #and i already know ssris can impact some things as well #so. gna be very unhappy if i have to stoptaking my eye meds bc those are kinda helping prevent me from going #like even more blind even faster

migraines make me so evil 💖

#my heads been hurting for like 3-4 days straight #and for me migraines aren't necessarily like blinding pain #moreso just like Pressure and sometimes nausea #also apparently irritability #my patience? gone.#have two students in my program who are being Difficult in different ways #one has been doing so for literal weeks and im so fucking done with it #i finally just emailed him and (nicely) said stop complaining about the same thing and just decide whether or not you're going to quit #like stop fucking endlessly messaging my staff and making is run in circles just DECIDE #im done. done.#the other had been having trouble but didn't tell anyone and is basically saying 'yeah i want to quit but also let me think about it'#like im so done man i cant do this today

my heart is so full rn i havent had my birthday properly celebrated with friends probably since i was like somewhere b/w 13&16. but tonight my friends took me to dinner and treated my and gave me thoughtful gifts and like.. it's crazy to be in my late 20s and to finally feel like i have ppl in my life who care about me and think about me

#without a doubt the realest friendships ive ever had #and truly even the friend im rly not close to like we've spent time together in group settings but we arent close #but even still she got me a lovely thoughtful gift which i Love #like its people in my life giving me gifts that show me they pay attention and i truly cant rly remember the last time i had that #my heart is very full rn man 🥹#life
