the Brew Crew(sers)

What can you say about the Brew Crew? Well, we're awesome. Before there was such a crew there was just a group of guys, hanging out, turning wrenches and driving fast. Now, we cruise. And not just cruise, but cruise in style. We're compiled of the original kids, plus spouses and kids and friends. We're essentially one big ginormous rolling car show of a family. I'm Tess - Brew Crew Kid. I'm the oracle of the group, so it would seem - just to document the happenings (and occasional tickets) of our lives. We're definitely cool kids. Stick around, we have plenty more adventures to share.

Today almost didn’t happen for me. The valley was struck with a fierce but fast storm last night - power was out and we lost quite a few limbs (and some trees) and this morning the list of cleanup chores looked daunting. However, the ‘55 (I’m not in love with her so I’m hoping that if I don’t name her we won’t keep her) started right up and we were able to get her around the debris and to the road for our day in Williamsburg.

We arrived around 1030 and spent a little time watching my nephew really rock the pitchers mound before meeting up with everyone at The Shop for a little excursion down the parkway into Yorktown.

We called the gathering today to get updated pictures of those I’ve missed lately on adventures so I can start the latest Brew Crew Calendar. It wouldn’t have mattered if I needed the pictures or not - that’s why I love these folks. We stopped, we pictured, then we cruised down the road for dinner at a mexican restaurant called Cinco De Mayo in Grafton before cruising over to a little pop up car show and eventually heading back to Williamsburg. The moment when we start breaking off at our exits always saddens me a bit until the radio farewells happen - at that moment a calm gratitude comes over me and I know for this day my life has seriously been enriched by the relationships with my people.

I’m thinking of a different format for this year’s calendar, it’ll be twenty-four months again and I am thinking this mayyyyyy be the fifth year of the calendar so I may go with an anniversary edition.

Time and creativity will tell.

'ello friends! Here we are, another Brew Crew Adventure for the books. I'm happy to report we were all very well behaved this trip with zero major malfunctions and zero tickets! The Sahara still has the best breakfast in Ocean City - you just can't beat the crab and cheddar omelet! The weather decided to not cooperate Saturday so we spent that day in/around the second floor of the parking garage (we were quite excited to have our second floor spot back after years of overgrown trees blocking the view) and today it's the travel day back home. But we didn't complain - Mother Nature did pretty near perfect for Thursday and Friday, even starting me out with a pretty good base for my farmer's tan! I did get a new rendition of my Big Al serenade - those are always a real treat! 😂 But now the real meat of this post! I'll be coming to Williamsburg in the next few weeks to get last minute calendar shots of cool kids && their rides for those who need updated shots. I'll get with Jimmy to orchestrate the event in order to have our next calendar ready to go! Y'all have a good day and I'll see you soon!
