i say im scared of the ocean but its so conditional like what is that even called at this point

#the shore is fine. going to the beach is fine. SWIMMING at the beach is fine #going on a boat is fine ☝️ONLY IF 1) land is in sight 2) land is in swimming distance 3) life jackets #i think its open ocean. and that part underwater where the bottom abruptly drops put into blackness #i will FREAKKKK #scubadiving is genuinely so scary i think id have a panic attack #like tbh. the ocean is the only thing tht genuinely scares me and invokes typical fear responses #BUT DAMN DOES IT NOT DRAW ME BACK IN......THE SEA IS A CRUEL MISTRESS...

one of my favorite types of media to experience is stuff that i know in another lifetime i would have been absolutely obsessed with as a kid/teen. going through something as an adult and being like yeah that was pretty good. however if this had made its way to me when i was 12 years old it would have fundamentally altered me and i hope it's fundamentally altering some other 12 year old out there right now. that's the good stuff.
