A partir del 12 de febrero y hasta el 28 de marzo, Álvaro Sánchez - Montañés nos presenta su exposición de la serie Landnemar, una selección de dieciocho imágenes realizadas durante cuatro años en tierras boreales islandesas. Ha recibido el Primer Premio de la fundación AENA de Fotografía 2012, y ha sido finalista en los premios Purificación García 2012, Pilar Citoler 2011 y Hasselblad Masters 2011. Landnemar - colonos en lengua islandesa - transita por un país de tierras heladas, espacios vacíos y arquitecturas minimalistas en el que, ya fuera por la hostilidad del medio, las carencias técnicas y económicas del pasado o el actual respeto a la naturaleza, el acto colonizador permanece estancado en uno de sus primeros estadios. A través de sus imágenes participamos como lejanos testigos de esta especial relación en que las condiciones de vida de sus habitantes distan muy poco de las de sus primeros pobladores, que incapaces de someterlo tuvieron que rendirse a los rigores de la tierra indomable que les correspondió habitar.
