With his keys currently MIA (and hoping he or his Alcremie would find them soon, or else he would need to call his new roommate which would be a super embarrassing first meeting), Walnut’s decided to take Peaches to the park. She seems to be enjoying herself, though he sighs softly as he throws the ball for her one more time. She is still...not very fast.

He’s lost in thought as he takes the ball that Peaches has eagerly brought back to him and then throws it once again for her to fetch.

Except he narrowly avoids hitting a child in the face with it. Oh fuck.

He stands up immediately, even as Peaches starts running for the ball, and heads to the girl.

“I apologize, I wasn’t watching where I was throwing that. Are you alright?”

She doesn’t look injured at all. But it’s a little strange for a girl her age to be in a park by herself, right? Are her parents around? He hopes her parents are around.

He’s just about to ask when Peaches drops the ball at his feet (as retrieving it took a much shorter period this time). He takes the ball from Peaches and tosses it (much more gently) before turning back to the girl.

“Er, are your parents around? You seem a little young to be alone.”

Finding himself in a new location (one which is definitely not a region he’s familiar with) with only his Alcremie for company is more than a little concerning. Particularly because without his Klefki, he’s already lost the keys to his apartment. Also without her, he doesn’t even have his usual keys.

He stretches, popping his back in the process, and glances down to notice his Alcremie has already wandered off. At least she’s not very fast.

“Hey--Peaches come back here. It’s not safe to wander off on your own.”

His chiding seems to have no effect as she’s found a young trainer? girl to pester for treats. Or maybe she’s asking about his keys. He doesn’t really know.

“Sorry about her.” Walnut bends down to lift Peaches into his arms, and gives the girl a slightly sheepish shrug. “She seems to like you, though.”
