❝Oh my? This is quite an unexpected development. A delightful surprise, if you will. I could never forget a face like that, no no! It’s been, what, a century? Give or take a few decades.❞
❝I must say, while time has been kind, unfortunately, nature has been anything but. You’ve somehow managed to find the fountain of youth, yet a splash of water can only go so far. Miraculous, yes, but not even magic can do away with what you were born with.❞
❝How tragic.❞

The other’s condition was far too laughable for words. He spoke as if he were a mad man, a statement that the Undertaker shouldn’t say himself, for his actions demonstrated that he also fit the belief of someone who lost their sanity far down the line. However, he forced out this one to completely lose any sense of pride and logical thinking. Trapped in a corner all too well, was he, and the specimen didn’t take too lightly to it. The Undertaker could care less, but there was something that he learned through this episode of panic Hazama displayed— it was that he had human emotions. And with his dolls, they didn’t experience such a thing. How interesting, it was. So interesting, in fact, that the Undertaker couldn’t help but amuse him.
“Who says I shall get my answers through your talking?” He tilted his head, his mouth half opened as if he was embracing the question with curiosity. The phrase, though, proved that he didn’t intend on having the other talk. Experimentation, or even the wait for his abilities would surely give him the answers. For now, all he must do was deal with the tantrum this one had gone through; to finish it. Entertaining, yes, and he desired for it to continue. With the other barely able to breathe, it meant that this activity was done for the day. A bit disappointing.
“Hehehe… Ha-ha-ha! What a farce, you’ve shown me. An interesting specimen, you’ll forever stay!” He laughed it out, position keeping itself placed in order for him to not escape. Hand stroked his bangs from his eyesight, a calming motion so that he may take action as soon as possible. Breathing in and wiping away the drool from his mouth, the same hand went to the back of his robe, pulling out a satoba that appeared exactly like the rest. In a single second, it appeared for him as his death scythe, something he had gained back only days before. How unfortunate for his company.
Placing the sharp end of the death scythe around the other’s neck, he grinned, “Finish you, I shall. I’ll see you soon, my little piglet.” With that, the scythe decapitated his specimen’s head, and the Undertaker immediately shrugged. it was time for preparations, before he came back to life. Quite the busy life he was leading now, but such a curious one with the man before him. Taking himself off of the corpse, he glanced over at it, and placed his foot on the head, examining the injury he had done to his skull. Moving his foot on the ground, he lightly kicked the head, with the head moving a tad bit away from the body, a laugh escaping the Undertaker’s mouth as it did so.
It was a reward for himself, for laughter was sparse in such a battle.
Delirious not simply from blood lost, the hysteria foolishly displayed had hammered the final nail into his coffin. Action was to be taken, what had been sought as to have to endure a single moment more of the perpetual impassivity was deemed far worse than succumbing to a transient death. Response system notwithstanding, a permanent end was beyond an unreal being such as him, a venerable ghost from the past lingering about with the intention to drag other individuals down in the same manner as he had. There was no need to fear death, no logical reason for the racing heart pounding so frenziedly beneath the ribcage, but still was the human emotion felt full force.
Yuuki Terumi was terrified.
Yellowed hues widened exponentially when a previously undisclosed weapon was made known, the formidable curve of it’s steel bearing down upon the flesh of his neck. The coldness of the metal could be felt, what the male had decided upon all too apparent and it only had breathing come out in quicker pants, pupils quickly darting in either direction in a futile attempt to locate a means of liberation but it was all for naught. This had been earned a million times over, the vicious cycle of hatred created by his hand one that would call for compensation, the broken world he’d fashioned one that had this untimely destruction well-deserved.
He was not one to abide to the terms laid out, to obediently accept the irrefutable. He rejected that idea, refused to be one of the flock, weak and mindless and much too ignorant. He would not simply allow this, would not permit the male to have the satisfaction of having killed him, never him. For that did he do the unthinkable, an undeniably selfish act that would not soon be forgotten.
He fled to the inner recesses of the mind, forcing the host to deal with the consequences.
❝WAIT —❞
The beginnings of a plethora of self-degrading pleas were disallowed from sounding, the vocal chords necessary to produce the begging finely sliced through. Flesh had been cleaved, muscle and bone severed with such finesse it would’ve been commendable if not for having been on the receiving end. Blood spurted outwards, the crimson liquid forming a rapidly enlarging puddle upon the concrete in which the lifeless form was laid. There was no return from this affliction, the decapitation a finishing blow of which recuperation was unfeasible. Just as it was required, an injury that made the body incapable of operating had been dealt, the phantasmal being that dwelt within the shell freed from the restraints of the flesh as it could no longer remain.
How truly wondrous it must’ve been to still be alive.

The rope like substance that coiled around him was ignored in favor to measuring up his opponent’s abilities. Although he hadn’t a clue on the particles that the binding tool was created out of, it was an easy examination that could be done another time. Even then, the Undertaker had knowledge that breaking from its restraint would be of no difficulty. Concern would be ludicrous in the position he was in, for comparing the strength and wit between the two, the Undertaker far surpassed the other. Nonchalant was he, in his speech, to talk as if he’d been lecturing him on the aesthetics of hunting.
“Are you not talking too much? Almooost as if you’re afraid. Ramble all you want, the rabbit always cries out once caught,” Coming back alive in Hive City brought him no fear— For if not in Hive City, surely he could not be outmatched, outnumbered, and outwitted. The one before him was no different in these categories. All the Undertaker lacked was a few abilities, and without those most would experience fret, but to him, this was a new experiment, a new adventure in the discovery of the human and inhuman body.
“This will get boring quite quick if you don’t do anythingg, see,” This was all a test, or a trail, when it came to his company’s powers. To witness what truly interested the Undertaker from the very start. And when the motion of lifting the coiled rope, the act of throwing him into a building surprised him, although not so much to lose his usual composure. The contact of the impact felt more like a bruising than anything due to his retaining endurance, fortunately.
Getting thrown around was an occurrence not often met with the Grim Reaper unless fighting against Cinematic Records, in which he hadn’t done in centuries. And once he was flung into the air, he watched the sky for a moment, a serene silence overcoming him despite the current situation. He gave a chuckle, letting his body hang loose while he embraced the second of beautiful rest before it was ruined. The horrid screech of his victim’s obnoxious tomfoolery filled the air, like a pig oinking as high pitched it could go when impatiently awaiting for its meal had destroyed the moment. Far from pleasing, it was.
Taking it upon himself to grin at the action he was about to take, the Undertaker grabbed onto the next chain that was sent flying towards him, one hand placing a satoba between his teeth in order to keep hold with both hands, the scientist using the weight of Hazama’s body to sling himself downwards with a great force. Aiming his feet in order to hit the target, the heel of his shoes were planted between Hazama’s face, causing for the heel to break. With a quickly placed, “Oopsies!” The Undertaker added more weight to his foot, slamming the other to the ground. With his victim’s body upon the dirt, he slowly walked across Hazama’s chest, to his stomach, then to his pelvic, a cheerful hop in his step as he did so.
Keeping one of his feet placed upon his pelvic to keep him pinned, the satoba that was once in his mouth was now occupied with another, although switched to the palms of both his hands. Without giving his specimen a moment to recover and retaliate, he grinned. One that displayed all of his emotions towards the other— this specimen of his brought about pride and awe, but nonetheless, the personality gave him amusement and definitely a sense of inferiority. Looking down on him, surely, he was a perfect disaster. A specimen worthy of more inspection. Of more entertainment. Of more laughter.
Lifting a single satoba, he stabbed it through one of Hazama’s hand, and doing the same to the other flesh. “Now, what to do with you? Hehe. Two split personalities? Or two souls? With that in mind, a special end is deserving of you.” He was so excited, he didn’t know what to do with himself. Thus, he must think of his next action, and with the captain chained down, he had time. Until then, the blood that sprayed from his hands would be a distracting display until he figured it out.
The gruesome finale was unexpectedly prohibited, the shower of sanguine liquid that should’ve coated his form upon impalement having been prevented. Thoroughly caught off guard, shock was just as apparent as rage, the incensed, ❝WHAT!?❞, that burst from lungs making the terrified state abundantly clear. It was an unnatural occurrence, for assaults to be so effortlessly swatted aside as if nothing more than an irritating gnat. So overwhelmingly outmatched was he, of that much was now evident, but the sequence of events could not be altered, what had caused this confrontation unable to be taken back.
With unforgiving force did a heeled boot slam into the features of the countenance, a resounding crack indicating that skull had partially cracked upon the impact with the concrete. It blurred vision, the numbing pain overtaking senses as darkness encroached, the excruciating ache only meant to increase. Air left lungs, the heedless jumping upon sensitive areas leaving the male winded, having already been gasping and left to fruitlessly attempt to think rationally, to collect himself and find a way out of this harrowing situation. Frantic, resembling a frightened animal, there was no escape, of that the Undertaker made certain.
Forcefully drawn from aching lungs was an agonized scream, palms mercilessly torn through by the thick slabs of wood. It hadn’t been prepared for, the searing pain, the delighted tone, the petrifying fear that overwhelmed him much in the same manner as the male had. Fruitlessly did body frantically twist, pulling at the restraints in an attempt to garner freedom, but all that resulted in was creating additional throbbing from the speared flesh. Breath came out in short, wild pants, pupils sharply contracted by the nauseating horror induced by the implications made by the captor that an unspeakably vicious end would befall him.
This was not how it was supposed to be.
To revel in the suffering of inferior beings, to indulge in the misery birthed through the cruelty they were subjected to, was the only position meant for him. To create widespread despair that was simply euphoric was a task openly beloved, immeasurable pleasure drawn from the broken bodies and minds of those entrapped by his insidious nature, was what define him, hatred what maintained the fragility of his existence once body had been destroyed. To be the one experiencing what it was that he’d heartlessly done for over a century was karmic justice, a humorless joke that had bile gather in the back of his throat.
The urge to vomit was barely stifled, contained to save face by the most marginal degree even though it was unfeasible that any amount of respect was harbored by the superior being. He was being looked down upon in every imaginable manner, dissected like a common worm, regarded as an unimpressive specimen despite the words that had been chortled. It was enraging, questionable pride rearing forth as to be likened to the very humans that he ruthlessly decimated was unforgivable, no matter how it was so on point it was in this moment.
He was not one of them, he was not weak.
He was above them all.
Lips were wet in preparation to speak, to spew heedless cusses, the metallic tang of blood impossible to ignore but it was not acknowledged. The severity of the situation was discounted, known for what but it was unable to be helped in any case. For that was bravado forged, voice weakened by the injuries sustained but still maintaining it’s grating edge, honed by the impudence that was fostered.
❝That’s for me to know .. e - heheh .. and for you to find out! Normally I’m down for a Q&A, but this time .. it’ll be like pulling teeth. You won’t get a damn thing out of me, you .. piece of shit. Might as well finish me off while you still have the chance, ahaahaha— ahhh... ah.. ahahAHAHA!❞ Deranged laughter escaped, hacking coughs between each chorus of disjointed laughter rattling the broken form bleeding upon the ground. The serpent was no fool, the goading intentional to incite action as to stew in the current hapless state was a loathsome idea. ❝Haaaah... maybe you don’t have what it takes? Come on, kill me! Do it, kill me! Kill me, kill me, kill, kill, killkillkillkill — Tear me apart! Rip me into pieces if you can, but don’t think for a second that I’ll forget it! I’ll destroy you! I’ll leave nothing of your decrepit body left — KYAAHAHAH — DO IT!❞

dull blue eyes had caught sight of something rather puzzling in his periphery. in fact, it was enough to make him turn entirely, swiveling in his spot under a streetlight to get a better look.
green, ay?
if he had his wrench it would be held horizontally to block the man’s path, but he did not have it, and instead turned to the power of words, lifting his arm to point.
“ You there. Could it be that you’re not a human being? That you’re actually a martian? Yeah! That must be it. With green hair instead of green skin — ! ”
Brow reflexively twitched but once at the unceremonious manner used to begin the conversation found in, the uncomplimentary likening to the species in question one that was entirely uncalled for. An inane assumption, the juvenile remark was regarded in the same fashion as the man currently was: an immature bother, further evidence that intelligence was not fostered by most occupants of the city.
❝So sorry to disappoint, but I’m afraid that I’m nothing of the sort.❞ It would not be disclosed that not being of the human race was partially true, a musing hum preferred as digits would cup his own chin in a contemplative gesture. ❝But I have to say, that’s some imagination you have. Something like that is great, a cause for joy, truly! Unfortunately, it’s anything but this time. You should really learn how to think before you speak or you’ll only offend people. My own feelings were almost hurt, you know.❞
【 DOES IT MATTER… WHICH LANGUAGE YOU SPEAK… WHEN YOU CANNOT EXPRESS… CLEARLY…? 】
Raising a hand, she pointed at him, her eyes glowing a bright red.
【 NO MATTER… YOU HAVE ANGERED… ME… YOU HAVE BEEN… PURPOSELY SPEAKING… THIS WAY… I MUST… SINK YOU—!! 】
Except other than relying on her very own body, she had little to no ways of killing someone — especially without her equipments with her.
❝I think what you need to do is chill. Put yourself in a well-deserved time out and think about what you’re about to do. This really isn’t worth getting all worked up over, not when it’ll only lead to poor judgement on your part. Murder is a crime. It’s bad. You up and do something crazy like that and your speech impediment won’t be the only thing you’re judged for.❞
Dispassionately did shoulders shrug, gloved hands casually pocketed as at ease was he.
❝Of course, this is all based on the presumption that you could actually -- how did you put it, “sink me”? You have quite the nasty glare, but who’s to say you have anything beyond that? Even then, I’m .. not big on fighting. It just isn’t my kind of thing. Please tell me you at least understand that much.❞

Hazama is a Vice Admiral of the Marines. He claims to want to resolve things peacefully, but that’s a complete and utter lie. His success rate as a marine is extremely high, meaning the higher-ups often overlook anything suspicious he does. Pirates all over know him to be ruthless whereas others claim they’ve seen him and don’t think he’s as bad as the rumors say. A few others in the ranks of the Marines have tried to call him out on any unorthodox behavior, but so far he hasn’t gotten into any trouble for it no matter how terrible the reports are. Needless to say, as long as he gets the job done and as long as pirates have no rights to be protected under the laws, he can do whatever he wants to them and still get rewarded for it so long as he plays his cards right.
Only once has he been approached by an Admiral asking what he was doing, but he was easily able to excuse himself for his actions and paint them as necessary.
Hazama consumed the Hebi Hebi Fruit, model Basilisk, and gained the ability of the beast Basilisk. As a Mythical Zoan Fruit, he has the ability to shift between a human form, a hybrid form, and a full on beast form of the ancient Basilisk snake along with any supernatural powers that come with it. His attacks remain the same since they already have names fitting of a Devil Fruit User.
Should he ever be cast out of the Marine’s ranks, he’d undoubtedly have a high bounty and be sentenced to Impel Down for being such a dangerous man if he were caught.

❝Was I not speaking English? Were the words I used too big for you? Or does the lack of intelligence that makes you unable to speak in complete sentences also make you incapable of processing speech? A lost cause if there ever was one. It’d be pointless to bother talking to you because you can’t understand a single thing. Even animals can understand basic commands, but I’m sure even that’s beyond you. Just what does that make you then, I wonder. Don’t bother trying to answer that, though. Better yet, let’s end things here. It’s hard to converse with someone that can’t offer anything reasonably bright.❞
