Will you take a bit of advice from an old woman?
Saw this on Twitter.
Is Jon slowly embracing his Targaryen heritage?
@alien-princesscx
Do you believe a jonerys baby will happen? I’m starting to have doubts due to the 3 episodes that are left. I really wish Dany would conceive, not just because of Viserion, but because she needs someone who will forever love her unconditionally and that is a child. I really want that for her and Jon. :(
Hello!
I absolutely believe it will happen, yes. Dany’s arc is interwoven with the theme of life growing unexpectedly, from barren, dead things, objects, lands, symbols… I’m not just talking about the dragons born from stones, but also about desert lands like Meereen, which Dany manages to bring to a point of rebirth. There’s a reason why Dany spend so much time in/around/ruling over deserts, and grow things out of it, against all odds. Eventually, this will apply to her own body and ability to conceive as well. Even if we don’t see the baby being born, we’ll know that she’s pregnant by the serie’s end. I discussed some fertility-related symbolism in Dany’s storyline HERE and HERE. And, of course, you can read @oadara classic piece HERE. Another thing I find interesting is the red in Dany’s clothes. This idea doesn’t come from me, but red as in the color of blood doesn’t only represent violence and death, it also represents warmth, vitality and life. I’m sure you’ve seen the 8x04 promo by now, you’ve seen Dany at the feast, wearing her first all-red dress. It’s interesting, to say the least, that she’d be withdrawing from the Targaryen black (one of her house’s color; also a death/mourning coded color, and linked to ashes), and going more toward the Targaryen red (the other color of her house, and linked to fire). Red represents hope for Dany (the house with the red door, etc). If she does get pregnant, the red dress takes a whole new meaning: it’s her own body/womb coming back alive.

Do you think Jon will finally start defending Dany publicly? Lately, I'm not feeling the love. It's so frustrating.
he fucking better lol i feel like he will simply because it appears they’re turning their focus to the war with Cersei starting in ep4, so that would be kind of impossible without Jon’s support. i mean, i guess the Northern lords could decide they absolutely love Dany all of a sudden and will willingly march south to die for her without prompting, but i think they will still take Jon’s direction.
idk, maybe as Davos suggested, Dany’s done plenty in battle to earn their loyalty now. and i imagine Jon would feel even stronger about her after all that, even with conflicting feelings over his parentage.
