When do I think I'll be finished with Simon's Angels? And what's the next fanfic I have in mind?
Excellent questions! Let's go ahead and start with the first one, about the completion of my current baby, Simon's Angels.
With some more of my time suddenly given back to me because of a real life situation that didn't go as planned, I will strive to have the rest of the fic written on paper before 2025 is over. I can't guarantee that, of course. The rest of the fic is going to put my creative juices to the test. Without spoiling anything, it's gonna pack in a lot more action and a tad bit less humor. Then when it is fully written on paper, I'll be typing it up every week until it is done, of course. All in all, I am shooting for a tentative completion date of April 2026. But that is, of course, when I'll have it typed up and everything. But even then, when it is finished, it's not really gonna be finished. I will go through the entire fic, top to bottom, word for word, and proofread every last bit of it (even though I proofread each chapter before posting them up in the first place). And I may add a few lines and retcon some things to account for real-life events (such as Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan passing away). Once I do all of that, I'll consider the fic having "gone gold" and I'll print it out for my personal reading. Maybe you will as well!
And now the second question - what is the next fanfic I have in mind? Will there be a sequel to Simon's Angels, where the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog join forces again? Likely not. But after Simon's Angels, I will have not done the last of either franchise. On the former's side, I am working on a collaborative effort with someone who is asking me to do a fic based on their OCs. Her reasoning is because how good I am staying true with the source material. Or something to that effect. On the latter side, I have a few ideas. Could be something slice of life where Shoeshine lets Polly in on the big secret and everyone in Capitol City lives normal lives, but there will be a time where Underdog is called upon. Could also be my take on Underdog vs. Mighty Mouse.
For the next PPG fic, the person I'm collabing with has asked me to make it G-Rated, which clashes with my huge R-Rated style, but I'll give it a shot. For the next Underdog fic, it's all mine, so expect that to get the R rating.
And I have ideas outside of the Powerpuff Girls and Underdog. I'll get into that in another post. But be on the lookout for the rest of Simon's Angels very soon.
