I am new to this. I have never really been "normal" fwiw, but still, this is far beyond me. Im still reeling from this, its been months and i still feel some kind of way about it. Ive awakened, i think its called, but wow this is a lot. Just waking up and remembering "oh yeah, im a vampire, right" is such a bizarre thing for me. Im having fun and this provides a LOT of answers for me but still, this is so !!!

I just want to be a little bat in my dark cave that goes out to feast on humans at night. Why do I have to be stuck in this wretched house in this awful human body. I want to fly through the night sky. I want to sleep through the dreadful day. I want to feel the air flowing around my leathery wings. I want to be free.

i see a lot of people recommending fruit juices for red things to drink, but i never see anyone recommending red berry tea (or basically any tea with hibiscus in it). it's warm, it's red, it's naturally sweet and a little tart - what's not to love? more vampires should drink tea!!

Vampire short story idea:

Waking silently through a graveyard when you notice the sound of someone crying. Following the noise, you see a young woman knelt by a grave. You approach her, making sure to make the right amount of noise as you walk. She’s startled by the sudden companion, but eventually she tells you her woes. You comfort her, holding her close as she softly cries. She stops crying, and you give her a rose to set on the grave. She does, and leaves. You linger at the grave, looking at the writing.

Your name, if you can remember correctly. It’s been so long you can hardly remember. You take the flower and tuck it into your shirt. “Thank you, kind miss, whoever you were….”

Do any other vampires on this site feel like a combination of different types Sanguinarian, psychic, otherkin, etc... I feel such a deep connection to all of those.

dont know if anyone else can relate but i feel that my experience of vampirism is very much dracula-esque if that makes sense. like im a vampire but also a shifter, specifically of canine/chiropteran animals.

its to the extent that i consider myself a sort of dogboy vampire. or a vampiric loup garou

I LOVE eating plums and strawberries and cherries. Just any red fleshy fruit. I think plums are my favorite though. They have to be firm for me to like them though. The resistance they give and the deep red color that looks like blood... it makes me very happy, especially when I'm craving blood or need to bite into something. The more bitter the plum the better, too. Also cherry juice!!! Or pomegranate juice. Both of those are great. Because of the color and the bitterness.

I'm a vampire who only recently found out, and I'm immensely happy. I've got so much comfort, but I don't know why. But I generally feel much better about it than I did when I was entirely a cynanthrope. The only thing that sucks is not having access to blood and having to be in the day, (and thus succumbing to mortal sleeping patterns).

How does one aquire human blood while evading the cops and any witnesses? Asking for a friend :)

we're a hybrid vamp but we are sooo bad at feeding. we awakened over 5 years ago and we still rarely do anything but ambient feed, and barely that. we just don't have access to blood and disability makes it hard to spend time on learning to to read and manipulate energies. it's super frustrating

i wish i could explain how vampirism is Everything to me, including my gender, to people without sounding insane. like. you know the myth about how some people are just born destined to become vampires after death? it's like that. the little girl i used to be is dead and buried. i clawed my way out of her grave. i am forever changed. and yet. i was always meant to be this. do not stand at my grave and weep. i am not there. i do not sleep.

Does anyone else have an irrational fear of vampire hunters? I know it's unlikely but I don't share that I'm a vampire with everyone because I genuinely think that there has to be someone out there willing to hurt us.

Sometimes I wonder if my classmates think I'm crazy. I have a habit of picking at the skin around my nails, and when it starts to bleed, well of course I don't let the blood go to waste. I just wonder what it looks like from their perspective sometimes lol

Also all my friends know that I always carry an umbrella and will take any excuse to get it out

I’m a bit new to the vamp/sanguinarian scene…what does it mean to be a donor? Or how does one find and bond with a donor?
