your 15 year old golden girl who broke a world record ended up in fourth place because she was getting hounded and pressured by the media, her country, and her coaching staff because of a doping scandal.

your second place silver medalist is having a mental breakdown because she had done everything she could've, broke a world record, and still ended up in second, which she then realized the abuse and work she endured ultimately resulted to "nothing."

your olympic gold medalist is sitting alone, not celebrating, not smiling, just sitting there feeling numb. there were absolutely no coaches that gave her a genuine congratulations because her other two teammates were having mental breakdowns.

Did you know that Alina's mom forced her into doing figure skating. Alina said that she recalls crying by the stands, begging her mom to let her go home and that she hated figure skating as a kid. Later on when she switched to Eteri Tuberidze she slowly started liking the sport and got much better at it and also started winning major competitions. She went from hating the sport to achieving a 'Super Slam' at the age of 16!

I honestly think that if Kamila Valieva's doping test came out positive earlier, then Elizaveta Tuktamysheva would have gotten chosen by the ROC for the Olympics instead, whose wish was always to go to the Olympics. So if Elizaveta got selected then Alexandra Trusova would have gotten chosen for the team event and her wish for winning a Olympic gold medal would be complete.... At least, in a way. Meanwhile if this ever happened then Anna Shcherbakova would actually be able to celebrate her win properly and enjoy, instead of being all alone while her team mates cried.
