Sometimes we get so lost we actually have to ride on the road!

We made it to the Bauhaus in Dessau! Quite a remarkable building for its history, but a bit unremarkable in that the shapes of the building are quite common now in modern architecture. Nonetheless, quite a few cycle tourers here as well . . . apparently a few routes converge here!

One second of distraction while looking at the remarkable (and under construction) cathedral where Luther himself nailed his 99 theses . . . and out of no where I slipped and missed the pedal, drawing blood on the first day!

Where our worlds collide . . . intersecting with the Elbe Radweg which we did last year and the R1 which we're headed down this year!

Riding through the forest after a tasty lunch....headed for Lutherstadt-Wittenberg!

Why bike tour? For all the things you would have never found otherwise . . . behind me a garden built by Prince Franz and an incredible fortress built atop a fortress just tucked away down a country road!

Loving that the cycle path is paved while the driving path is not!

Ahh...Germany...what a civilized country...even straps to hold your bike on the DB trains...making our way out of the city to Bad Belzig!

We arrived, but our luggage and bikes didn't! Eventually they arrived and we made our way to Alexander Platz to catch a train out. Of Berlin!

Ready for adventure! Just about to check in at YVR . . . Next stop Heathrow . . . then on to Berlin :D
