“Oh,” he said in response, not really sure what to say. “Do you still like it?” Jer couldn’t think of anything worse than being stuck. For now, he liked it here because it was all so new, and it paid so damn well. And maybe there was a certain someone who was highlighting the experience for him, but that needn’t be mentioned. “That sucks, I’m sorry you had to go through that experience,” Jeremy sympathized. He couldn’t imagine having a bad client who you had to sleep with anyway. Yeah, he hadn’t really thought that part through.
“I’m still here, aren’t I? If I hated it I would have left years ago.” Then again, there had been times he thought about leaving- about just getting up and running as far away from this fucking place as quick as his legs could carry him- but as much as he hated it, it wasn’t all that bad. “It’s a job, you know? It’s a job, with a place to sleep and good money.” Who could complain about that? “Please- don’t. Everyone has a shitty client at least once in their life, I’m not the first and I won’t be the last.” And it wasn’t like he really cared about those moments, they weren’t fresh on his mind at all times.
