Vanesa waited by her suitcase, nervously as people bustle past her. She seems alone for a second, but then a shrill voice calls out “Do you have everything? Your passport? Your phone charger? A copy of your passport?”

“Mum, I’m fine”, she answered. “I’m okay, you doubled packed everything for me anyways.”
She’s nervous. This would be the first time she left the country without her parents and their doting intentions. This trip represented a sneak peek at adulthood for her, where she was free to do almost anything.
