first time here with my family
meet my 4 month old baby brother Vaugh Kristoff :)
Malapascua Island, Cebu
It was a very spontaneous trip because our friends from Manila arrived and they wanted to visit Malapascua, I tagged along since weâve always wanted to go there. I was with Caviar and Moreen. First timers coming through!
How to get there:
Ride a bus from North Terminal to Maya (itâs going to be a 4-hour road trip)
Air conditioned - 175 Â non-airconditioned - 131 (student discount)
Then from Maya port, ride a boat to Malapascua for P100 and another P20 for the small boats to send you to the shore if itâs low tide. It will take about 30 minutes to get to the Island.
We made sure to spend less so we brought our tent with us and luckily we found a spot to stay for a night. Thanks to the locals who guided us.
Itâs not allowed to put up a tent anywhere, not like in Moal Boal. They only allow if itâs Peak Season.
Make sure to go on Island Hopping to make your stay all worth it! There are a lot of things to discover so donât just stay in one place.Â
One of the spots is the World War 2 1942 Japanese shipwreck. It looked so creepy and it felt like someoneâs gonna drag my foot while snorkeling. Also, thereâs a part of the island that looks like Bantayan/Boracay/Siargao. See for yourself! Itâs only just P400 per person.
The last boat going back to Maya port is at 2pm. P1,500 budget is already enough.
Malapascua is known for scuba diving spot. Thresher, Hammerhead and White Tip sharks are present there. It will take you 4 days of training and a lot of money to get a license for you to actually encounter with the sharks.
Hopefully, Bantayan again next month. Who wants to tag along? :)
Do you guys know that Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental are now in one Region called Negros Island Region (NIR)? Yes, DOT took priority on that and was effectively implemented on May 2015.
Negros Oriental is one of the best places in the Phils to retire most specifically in Dumaguete because of its peaceful and clean surroundings and also the people are so accommodating, no wonder why their city is known for âCity of Gentle Peopleâ.Â
We stayed in Hotel Essencia for 3 days and 2 nights and our tour was so successful with the guidance of World of Adventure Travel and Tours.Â
It was one of the best trips Iâve been on. We went back with my other group of friends a month after our Ecotour and stayed in Valencia. We couldn't get enough of you, DGTE!Â
Watch the video I made while on tour:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAzu42AFWxk
Apo Island, you are such a beaut!

âItâs the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life more interesting.â
Donât ever give up on your dreams, darling. Believe in yourself and stay positive, everything else will follow. Nothing is impossible.
19th
First off, I wanna say thank you for all the warm greetings! đÂ
To the people Iâve hurt and done wrong in the past. I apologize.
To the people Iâve loved and left. Fuck you (oops) I mean, Thank you. The memories and priceless moments will always be in my heart.
To my family whoâs always been there for me, although we argue a lot about my shortcomings. Thank you for not giving up on me.
To my friends whoâs the reason why I love pain; the kind of pain when my stomach aches from laughing so hard when theyâre around, whoâs always willing to listen to all my whining-like-a-baby rants and breakdowns.
To You who gives me strength, I know You have bigger plans. The pain and struggles will be useful someday.
I am thankful.
Life has been so awesome lately. Although there are times that I just tend to be sad all of a sudden and shut people out. It never stopped me from having a positive outlook in life; God has given me so much blessings even though I fail him sometimes, there are so many things to be thankful for and Iâm trying so hard to get my shit together every day I wake up. And whenever I feel like giving up, You are always there to give me more reason to live and that is to never stop loving- the things that I love to do and the people around me. I love til it hurts and that makes me human. I guess iâll stop here haha. (so much drama already)
Another year for me, hope youâre still going to be a part of it â€

Finally was able to ride the skim board. Bruises all over my right knee and thigh but it was all worth it! photo by: Zerah
Cliff decided to build a fort to make it look âartsyâ HAHA. Check out his tumblog too! ( cliffrigor.tumblr.com )
One of my fave shirts from Think Positive Wear!Â
This day last year was our first day get-together with the crew (TeamTuslob) and weâre planning to do it annually this time. So that means, another place and memories every April 11!Â
Photos above were taken by Zerah Esmero and Cliff Rigor.
Overall, it was one another unforgettable trip, but our Badian trip last year is still the best for me so far cause I was able to meet amazing people who kind of made me who I am today. I was able to meet that one person who made me love the beach and adventure even more and taught me how to love and appreciate life. That right there is priceless. A series of unfortunate events happened and I lost you somewhere in the process but still, I am thankful :)

How we spent Easter Sunday. Getaway from the boring holy week.
Itâs my first time hanging out with these people except Adrian and it turned out pretty well. Instant homies!Â

Alcoy is 2-3 hour drive from the City. The traffic was a bummer. Good thing the beach relieved all the stress.

Kabang, Budlaan Falls
Favorite spot!
Spontaneous adventure two days in a row! 30 minute agaw-buhay trek to reach the falls. Tiring but totally worth it and itâs just located in Talamban! Gather your friends and see for yourself.
Definitely worth visiting :)
How to get there:
1. Ride motorcycle beside Sunny Hills Talamban and just tell the driver âto the fallsâ 10 minute ride then 30 minute trek.
2. Youâre gonna be needing a tour guide if itâs your first time there. Give the tour guide at least P150. They are so useful. Trust me, you wonât regret it.
P.S Go spot the Heart-shaped lake if you can ;)
Good luck and Have fun!

Osmeña Peak, Dalaguete
Finally! Osmena Peak. Iâve been dying to visit this place but since Iâm still busy working on our thesis, I always end up cancelling plans. Thanks to Gab Veloso for tagging me along with them.
We call ourselves The Backpackers haha. It was one memorable experience cause I was the only one wearing slippers (Islander) more comfortable than your Brazilian-made ones /flips hair.  ISLANDER slippers are sturdy, comfortable and durable. I love using ISLANDER on the beach, city sidewalks, while traveling because they are easier to take off than shoes.Perfect for outdoor activities and for those whoâre not a fan of rubber shoes, roshe run or whatever you call that.
We headed to Dalaguete Beach Park after being exposed to the sun the whole morning. The place was just so chill and the crew were very accommodating, we felt very special.
Travel and discover more!
Newbie right here! :)
