Latest Mythika List
Some Notes:
* behind a monster = This monster has several variants, or have both female and male variants as game-sprites.
Spirit = Not always a ghost-like thing, some creatures have spirits locked inside them (such as the Tsukumogami Constructs)
Cursed = This creature is cursed into another form, or cursed to live in misery, some vile curse transformed it or gave it powers.
Mounted = These creatures ride on other monsters/beasts, after a few hits they will lose their mount and will change their tactics.
Bogey = These feed on Fear
Vampire = These feed on blood (not only undead)
Summoner = These can summon other creatures into battle.
Swarm = Creatures that appear in large swarms, hard to hit with ranged attacks of course, also with normal weapons. Spells are effective though.
Shifter = Creatures that can shapeshift during battle into another form.
Tulpa = Creatures spawned from other creatures/humans imagination, they weren’t real, but believing in them gave them physical bodies.
Psychic = These have mental abilities.
Parasite = These horrifying creatures live inside other creatures, and after you defeat some monsters, parasites will spawn from their corpses to attack you. Parasites are random and give the monsters they live in better or worse stats, depending on the parasite, for example, the Alp-Luachra will turn their host more voracious and aggressive (more attack) but the creature will also receive damage every turn as it is slowly starving.
Mara = Creatures from the dream-realm, you can encounter these horrors while resting/asleep, they randomly attack you, depending on how strong your team is, like stronger Mara won’t attack your still low-level team.
Polynesian = I know some monsters are wrong in this group, but they are suppose to be most of the more unknown islands between Asia and Australia.
Celtic = I know this is wrong, but I put all English/Scottish/Irish/Welsh and Manx creatures together in this group and called it Celtic, because it sounds beautiful, I know it is not correct, sue me.
N-American = Native + North (both are good) American.
S-American = South American Myths
M-European = Medieval European
Hoax = Fake Myths and Cryptids proven false.
I collected all Finnish, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish myths together and called them Scandinavian. Icelandic and Ancient Norse are still separate.
I collected all Luxembourg, Dutch, Belgian and German myths together and (falsely) called them Germanic.
Yes there are a (very) few Jewish and Hindu Myths in here, don’t send hateful hate-mails for those.
Hope that makes sense.
