I honestly like how much... darker these are given the fact we can literally see Noelle's breath leaving her, but I understand why they didn't go through with it as it would've been possibly harder to make out in the scene.

i think people's want to perceive sdvn as domestic has clouded a lot of people's perceptions of them, to be honest. they've been past the point of being domestic for a hot second and pretending like they haven't been is just incredibly disingenuous. the entire basis of why their dynamic is interesting is because they are so unhealthy for eachother or how specific aspects of their own self-destructive behavior reflect and further drive eachother's actions. of course that also impacts "what if" scenarios and i think that *can* be a really interesting way to analyze characters, but there needs to be a point where people draw a line between fanon and canon.

this isn't me saying that there's no room for domestic sdvn in fanon, but i feel like making the assertion that they *should* be like that in-game is just completely counter-intuitive to their respective character arcs and where they're headed currently. if that makes sense. #imo
