spinel has a little too much experience for apparently being just in the explorers...that's because, well, he was somewhere else before his time as an explorers admin. prior to his time in the explorers, he worked in team flare as an informant and was apart of the branch to study the sundial as well as special stones such as mega stones and keystones. there was a point, however, when interest turned to obsession, turned into damaging the 'chosen' status. he was seen as more of a liability. spinel was supposed to die. in a way, he did. he faked his death and went into hiding.

how lucky. that master gibeon was around to pick him up. spinel avoids public appearances, he is always in disguise. he can't imagine the terror that might occur it was discovered he was still alive.

the rotom blinks and smiles, letting out an understanding titter as it is introduced to pardalis. it cannot yet speak any human language and understands little about syntax, but it does understand that it has made a NEW FRIEND, and that is all it needs to know.

what i will never stop rotating about my spinel canon is that he was apparently TOO MUCH for team flare. or rather, at first he was seen as perfect, but with time his true colours showed--there was no intention behind making the world more beautiful, it was only for his own satisfaction, his own study. he took pleasure in pain, rather than having it be only a means to an end. the moment was more important than if they succeeded or failed.
