the lyrics of pulk/pull are mainly taken from the door section of a children’s encyclopedia called “how things work” (1973)
and in earlier lyrics for in limbo, there are more mentions of trap doors as well as similar lines that would appear in future songs
another where I end and you begin mention here with the sky turning green
lines that would later be in like spinning plates
a page from the hidden kid a booklet as well as a page on their website titled FRoZZen also have lines from both in limbo again + you and who’s army
“I sat in the cupboard and wrote it down in neet” / “strangled beaten up” are lines that’s also used in myxomatosis
bonus: the alternate title for myxomatosis (judge, jury & executioner) would later be reused as the title for an atoms for peace song
500 points bonus round hasn’t even used in any radiohead songs but does reappear in a page from the kid a mnesiac book titled “sitting ducks” which also has lines that link back to I will
lyrics for wolf at the door appear in a page on the kid a era radiohead website under a page called packed nightclub
another page on their website with lyrics for spinning plates titled big fish eat
and a page called outta juice for knives out
the lines “and he’s not coming back / if you’d been a dog / they would have drowned you at birth / look into my eyes / it’s the only way you’ll know i’m telling the truth” used in knives out were pulled from an episode of silent witness (1997) titled “only the lonely: part 2”
a punch up at a wedding was initially debuted live in 2002 at lisbon. thom had a lyric sheet with an extra verse for the song but he never sung it. on the sheet, there was a line written that would later be used in 15 step 5 years later
now, I would add more to this post since there were a lot of occurring lyrics that popped up on radiohead’s website during the kid a/amnesiac era, but i’ve already hit the image cap so if you’d like to take a deeper dive into how these songs developed, i’d recommend looking through citizen insane or some older incarnations of the radiohead website
