Davin slumped back into the welcoming embrace of the corner, letting his eyes fall half shut. Why did they worry about gauze or a doctor? If they really needed one immediately, then they would handle it. “You don’t pass out before we get you there or I’ll shoot adrenaline through your system!”

A few minutes later the doors opened and he stood up. “Come up.” Again he helped the boy to get out and maneuvered him to Vassily’s office. He had to knock on the door, since he couldn’t let go of the kid. All his weight was on him and he didn’t like the paleness of his face, even if he was responsible for that. “Ye should shut up now. Just an advice from me. Answer the questions and don’t be stupid or try to be smart.” They waited outside till the door opened for them.
