A fish could be nice! I think at the beginning it’s an investment, because you need a tank and a filter, but then later it’ll be easy because you just need some flakes I think. That sounds awful, I’m sorry :( How did you burn yourself? Maybe the barista will give you a little plastic bag of ice you can hold to your arm? And then maybe get some ointment and wrap bandages at a store on the way home? I did that after I burned myself in one of my labs and the campus health center was closed...

She was - her owners told me they just adopted her this week, and it was her first day at the park. Her name is Oreo! I wish my dorm would let me have a pet, too... and yeah, I don’t really have the money for one, either. I hope you can save up for a pet soon, though! Oh no, how much does it hurt? :( I wish I could help...

Yes! She was a little maltipoo puppy! She wiggled out of her owner’s arms because she was so excited to be at the park, and then she accidentally wiggled out of her collar and started just running around, like super fast, but I noticed and I caught her! She was really friendly and kept licking my face before I had to give her back to her owners.

You;re no bother at all! I’m up this late myself.... But I know there’s a place about two streets over called Vive. They’ve got really good coffee and also good muffins if you’re hungry! They’ve got a neon sign in the shape of a coffee bean in the window so you can’t miss it. What’s got you needing caffeine so late? Got some stuff to take care of?

That makes sense, I want the same too. I waited tables the summer before going to college, and that wasn’t easy, so I assume delivery isn’t much more glamorous. Let me know if you try it! That makes me feel better, because I’m also in pajamas avoiding some homework... and people, at least for today.

I’m sorry to hear that :( my mom’s the only one home, usually, since my siblings either moved out or are staying with my dad... But I understand what you mean sometimes.

There really is - okay confession, when I moved here, I took a few of those walking tours so I could see some of the history in the city. It was super amazing, and if you’re into that, I highly recommend it!

Good point ;) I always tip, I just know sometimes I don’t have enough singles which sucks... but sometimes they let you tip when you order online which is nice. There’s this good Thai place that delivers! It’s called Green Leaf and it has some really good food.

My mom loves to hear from me - she always texts me if she can’t get through to me, usually because I’m really busy studying, so I know the feeling. 

I’m sure you can come see the campus! There are usually tours going on around here, so you should have no problem! Some buildings are only accessible to students, but other than that, you can see all the flowers you want :) I’d offer, but I’m afraid I’m not a very good tour guide and I’d hate to get anyone lost... I still get lost heh.... But it’d be really crazy if we ran into each other! :)

They’re gorgeous! I’m not sure if they were community gardens or if they’re something someone wealthy maintains, but they’re gorgeous. I’ll try to get a picture sometime.

…There’s so much to see all of the time. I feel like I see something new every day. Like the restaurants… and I can see the ocean… there’s so much out there.

It’s a really nice city to walk around in :) you can really see the history in it. Some places charge  a fee, and other places have free delivery - but then you usually have to tip the person a few dollars for bringing your food to you. You can even order food online for pickup or delivery!

Aww :( I’m sure she misses you too! I miss my mom a lot too.... I try and call her when it’s less busy for me.

Please do! I’d love to see them :) There are some nice flowers planted on campus, so I try and see those as much as possible. 

I agree completely! It’s got so many different elements that every time you think you know Boston, something surprises you :)

That’s good though! Walking is good - I don’t have a car either and I just walk across campus to get where I need to go. Delivery is my best friend when I don’t feel like going to the dining hall. Plus dorm kitchens aren’t so nice...

Yeah, that’s what sucks about being away from home - no more cooking from mom every night :(

Better than me. I’ve never even stepped foot on a college campus… though I did apply at the Starbucks at Boston University.

I’ll definitely try it. I need a good sandwich every now and again, and when I can’t eat the rest, I’ll take home the leftovers :)

Shojo! It was honestly amazing. They make the noodles themselves and they’re thick and delicious… I might go back tomorrow if the deli is too busy, but I’ve really wanted to try a reuben, if they have them.

We only had little gardens for carrots and zucchini… little things we could take in the house and eat as soon as they were ready. Then I’d cook them and we’d all eat.

Can’t say I miss much, though…

We grew a bunch of crops to sell stuff to the towns... and then my mom also grew flowers on her own; I miss those most of all....

Oh, what sandwich place? I’m always down to eat anything. Most of my meals were oatmeal and whatever was last slaughtered, so I’ve been REALLY adventurous in trying new things. The other night I went to a ramen restaurant, and it was AMAZING.

Seriously? We had some pigs and chickens, pigs for slaughter and chickens for eggs… but that’s crazy.

I usually treat myself... usually to my favorite snacks but I really wanted a good lunch today instead... didn’t really get that but that’s okay! I also watch some happy movies :)

It’s called Russo’s Deli? It’s in South Boston... They’ve got some really good options! But now you gotta tell me about that ramen place, because I’ll take your word for it that it’s amazing ;)

Small world! We had pigs and chickens too but we didn’t slaughter the pigs... they mostly helped keep the ecosystem good and ate up a lot of the crops we weren’t gonna sell. We had some horses too! I miss it...

It depends on where you live, really. I lived very rurally, but there’s actually big cities too. I kinda still have my accent sometimes, but it’s not as thick as it was when I got here.
