Small Ways To Be A Better Personđđ
wait for someone if you begin to notice that they are falling behind.
if a post or video makes you think of someone, send it to them.
be as kind as you can be to others.
be more aware of your surroundings and help people who seem to need help.
if someone gets interrupted, ask what they were gonna say.
try to put yourself in other peopleâs shoes instead of judging them or labeling them.
donât say hurtful things.
say âi love youâ more often and hang around the people you love and care about.
make sure everyone in the group is included.
if you have the opportunity, compliment someone, it really makes their day.
ask someone if they are okay if they are acting distant or different then normal.
My Anxiety Tipsđšâ¨
â˘it is okay to have anxiety, it doesnât make you any less human and people should not look down on you just because you have anxiety.
â˘make sure to see a psychiatrist or therapist, they will help way more than you think.
â˘when you are feeling anxious, take some deep breaths and tell yourself everything is going to be okay.
â˘if you are in that state of mind where you canât calm down and all you can think about is the topic that is making you anxious, call up a friend or text a friend. they can help.
â˘slowly face the things that make you anxious, whether it be talking on the phone or giving presentations. if you are scared of giving presentations, try giving a small presentation to your close friends who you know wonât judge you.
â˘if you have social anxiety, consider getting a job, believe it or not, getting a job where you work with other people helps with social anxiety a lot. it exposes you to new people and eventually you will become comfortable to talk to new people.
â˘give yourself breaks. if school is giving you anxiety and stress, give yourself a 30 minute break and let yourself gather your thoughts and come up with a game plan. itâll help ease the anxiety.
â˘it is more than okay to have to take medication to help with your anxiety. there is nothing wrong with that.
â˘your anxiety does not define you.
Productive Online School RoutineđŚđ
with most of us doing online school due to COVID-19 here are some tips on how be productive during this time.
â˘always get up at least 30-45 minutes before your first class of the day. this will ensure that you are awake and will be able to focus in school. unless you want to get ready for online school, then obviously get up earlier to get ready.
â˘make sure you are in an isolated area so you are able to focus.
â˘TURN OFF YOUR PHONE!!!
â˘have headphones/earbuds so you will be able to hear the teacher better.
â˘do your work and donât be afraid to email the teacher afterwards asking questions (unless you want to ask them during class).
â˘take your school work just as seriously as you would if you were in a face-to-face classroom.
â˘khan academy is a great source for videos on subjects you need help with. highly recommend.
â˘try your best to avoid cheating on tests, you will feel 10 times better when you do well without cheating. plus cheating doesnât help you understand the material.
â˘work hard and you will succeedđ¤
Things I Wish I Was Toldđđ:
â˘life is gonna be hard, you are going to get pushed down a lot, you are going to want to give up, but you have to stay strong.
â˘you are going to lose people you really care about, people you thought would never hurt you, and those people tend to hurt you the most.
â˘there is someone that is meant for you and only you. you may wait longer than someone else but eventually, you will find your person.
â˘always treat people with kindness. no matter what you have heard, or even what theyâve done to you. you never know exactly what they are going through or how they feel. so, just treat everyone with kindness.
â˘you are loved and cared about by at least one person in this world. and one person is all you need.
â˘suicide is a permanent solution to a TEMPORARY problem. the feeling will pass, i promise you.
â˘try your best in school. take that hard class, challenge yourself. do as well as you can. put 110% of effort into your work. it will pay off and it will all be worth it.
â˘donât let anyone force you to do things you donât wanna do. donât be pressured into sex or drinking or weed. but also donât feel obligated to go hang out with your friends when you just want to chill at home.
â˘learn to love yourself. take care of yourself even on your worst days. tell yourself youâre beautiful. there is only one person like you in this world and you need to embrace it. because living your life hating yourself is awful.
â˘itâs okay to have stretch marks and self harm scars. itâs okay to have stomach rolls. itâs okay to have acne. itâs okay to have non-straight teeth. itâs okay to have a big nose or big eyes. itâs okay to be flat-chested. itâs okay to not have a big butt. itâs okay be overweight or underweight, or a normal weight. you are still beautiful.
â˘seek help if you need it. if you struggle with suicidal thoughts or self harm, please please PLEASE get professional help. i know itâs hard but you need to do it, itâll help.
â˘it is completely NORMAL to go to therapy/counseling. just because you see a counselor/therapist doesnât make you any different and you shouldnât be ashamed of going.
â˘always be you. donât pretend to be anyone else. just be you. because YOU are amazing and perfect and you should not feel ashamed to hide the person you truly are.
â˘stay strong and remember you are loved.
How To Find Your Inner Happiness đđ
â˘Get rid of all toxic things in your life. This can be people, surroundings, etc. This should be done as soon as possible.
â˘Donât blame something you did on someone else. Keep in mind that you are not perfect and that we all make mistakes, but itâs how we handle it that counts.
â˘Follow your heart.
â˘Make time for what you love.
â˘Have fun when you can. Go out with friends or even just have a dance party in your room. Exercising can also help increase your mood (even just walking around the house!)
â˘Stop being so hard on yourself.
â˘After crying, drink a COLD glass of water.
Taking A Breakđ¸đ
â˘Unplug from social media for a while. At least until you can get yourself back together or get yourself in a better place.
â˘Have some goals/purposes set for why youâre taking a break. For example, becoming less stressed or focusing on school more.
â˘You can also take a break from people if you need to, spend some time by yourself. Chill out and just hang with yourself.
â˘Donât overwhelm yourself. Being overwhelmed can really defeat the purpose of taking a break.
â˘Try to stay away from stressful things unless it is something that you have to do, like school work.
â˘Think about how you can improve yourself while you are taking your break.
â˘Make sure to really focus on your daily self care routines. Taking care of yourself can really help your break go smoothly.
â˘Do something that makes you happy. Focus on a passion or a hobby.
Becoming A Better Youâď¸đ
Being carefree is apart of self love and learning how to block out negative energy and focus on yourself is the key to being carefree.
â˘Know your worth. Being carefree requires you to know what is worth your energy and what isnât.
â˘Focus on self care. Take care of your body because if you look good, youâll feel good.
â˘Minimize activity on social media. Social media causes stress about things that arenât necessary. Donât completely kill your accounts because youâll be bored but keep activity to a minimum.
â˘Live in the present. Whatever happened yesterday canât be fixed or changed, so donât stress and worry about things that have already happened. The only thing you can do is prepare for the future and even then, it is better to stay in the present and just take life as it goes.
â˘Have positive friends. If your friends talk bad about people all the time, then all they have is negative energy. And they arenât worth your time.
How To Bounce Backâď¸đ
(From That Rough Patch In Life)
â˘Try giving yourself a break from things thatâll further drain you. Things like social media.
â˘Take the time you need in order to get back to the swing of things. Get back to taking care of yourself properly.
â˘Itâs okay to ask for help from other people who care about you. Talk about your feelings and what youâre going through instead of bottling it all up.
â˘Donât allow whatever is happening put your life on hold. Be persistent and determined and work through the situation. No matter how hard.
â˘Constantly keep letting yourself know that you will
be okay. Make healing easier by staying positive.
â˘Optional: read some self-help books that help you overcome hardships in life. As well as, how to deal with them.
Confidence Tipsđđ
â˘Point out an âimperfectionâ about yourself and embrace it. Nobodyâs perfect and your âflawsâ are what make you unique.
â˘Start stepping out of your comfort zone. For example, if you think there is an outfit you canât pull off, wear it and do it anyway.
â˘When you walk, hold your head up high and stand up straight. This gives you a look of security within yourself and actually makes you look good.
â˘Smile a lot more often. Smiling radiates self-confidence and youâll instantly feel better about yourself.
â˘If you ever start to feel bad about yourself, make a list of good things about you. This helps you focus more on the positives than the negatives.
â˘Start making decisions for yourself, by yourself. Being independent is the key to being confident.
Battling Depression đđ
â˘Understand that what youâre feeling is more than just sadness and that you may need professional help (which is OKAY).
â˘Challenge your negative thoughts, now Iâm not saying you need to think positive 24/7, but little things like reminding yourself that you are loved can help.
â˘Try not to stay in bed all day even if that means just going into your living room for a few hours. But, there are days where no matter what you do, you canât get out of bed.
â˘I know reaching out for help is hard but sometimes it needs to be done. If your family doesnât want to help you, there are hotlines you can call and they will tell you help that is available for you.
â˘Learn what triggers your depression and try to avoid those triggers. Or you can address those triggers so they arenât triggers anymore.
â˘IT IS OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP.
â˘Avoid staying up late, you should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep, anything less than that can be damaging to your health and worsen your depression.
â˘Make sure you are eating 3 times a day. It is very important that you eat.
â˘Even though itâs hard, try to find some things you enjoy doing.
â˘PAIN IS TEMPORARY AND NEVER WORTH YOUR LIFE!!!
