Part of what drives me is variety. I’ve played all sorts of different roles in the ten years that I’ve been working, but a lot won’t have been seen because they were in plays in London, or one-off shows on the BBC, or independent films. But ultimately, I’ve loved being able to play a whole spectrum of different people driven by different things because I’m curious about what makes people different and what makes them similar, and what we all have in common.

climbs into bed with u hey do u ever think about how effie doesn’t expect people to be proud of her bc she’s a leader and when she accomplishes something people celebrate it bc of the benefits it has for everyone but there’s a little part of effie that just!!!!! wants someone to be proud of her!!!!!!!! to look at what she’s accomplished and be proud of her for what she’s done but since she doesn’t have too many people she’s close to and everything she does is for the benefit of the commonwealth she’s p much accepted that she’ll take pride in what she achieves and that will have to be enough

IT'S LIKE studying really hard and acing a test the goal was to get a good grade and that's an excellent feeling that's a great reward for the effort but there's also a difference between saying "hey great job on the test you got an awesome grade!" and "hey great job on the test you got an awesome grade i know you worked really hard to study and i'm proud of your hard work" does that make sense??????

#it's not that people are ungrateful?????#it's more the concept that like she #for example establishes a solid infrastructure for some settlements in the commonwealth #works herself to the bone to create stability and give people a decent living #and people will celebrate what she's done and praise her but #that's not the same as someone really caring about her and being proud of her for achieving her goal #they celebrate the finished product but not the effort of the process #and she doesn't complain bc she doesn't do it for glory or whatever but it's definitely another facet of #the overall loneliness she feels in the commonwealth even post-game where she's general and all that #none of this makes sense i'm tired goodnight!!!!!!#ooc.

hey you know what’s BULLSHIT when people jump on a bandwagon for drama just for the sake of getting brownie points with the people involved. like if it’s something that directly concerns you that’s one thing but if you’re reblogging a callout post just so you can show how cool you are for supporting some popular blog then eat my ass. it cheapens the actual issues that go on in rp and creates ridiculously petty conflicts and sides in an issue that’s usually a PERSONAL disagreement between two people which SHOULD have been settled privately. so like this technically 2 things that bother me. petty drama being dragged out into the public eye for no reason other than to garner support and feel superior, and also the people who are jumping onto it just to get in with the one side AS OPPOSED TO actually feeling strongly about something that’s an actual problem. there’s a difference between being genuinely toxic/abusive and disagreeing with someone and deciding that gives you the right to start a whole shitshow over it. what was the question
