Coconut Shake
1 serving
These ingredients produce a milkshake that is thick and creamy and tastes like coconut.
Ingredients
½ cup coconut milk
1½ cups vanilla ice cream
1 tablespoon toasted coconut flakes
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish:
Whipped cream (optional)
Toasted coconut flakes (optional)
Directions
In a blender add the milk, vanilla ice cream, coconut flakes and vanilla extract and blend. Blend until ingredients are mixed and creamy. This produces a creamy shake.
In one tall glass, pour in the milkshake from the blender. Garnish with whipped cream, toasted coconut flakes and enjoy!
Note:
If you want to avoid dairy products use milk like almond or coconut milk. Use a non-dairy ice cream. There is even whipped cream made from almond milk and non-dairy products.
To toast coconut simply use a baking pan, sprinkle some coconut in it and place it in a 350˚ oven for about 10 minutes. Stir the coconut every 2 minutes so that it browns evenly and doesn’t burn.
