Good Morning Vietnam | VEGA + ALAN
Alan stifled a yawn. It was too bloody early in the morning for him to be arsed to do anything but of course the Powers that Be had decided that it was the perfect time for him to show up for a meeting. 0600 hrs was too early definitely but an order was an order even if he wasn’t in the army anymore. He warmed his cold fingers on the steel mug filled with coffee as black as his mood and just as sour while waiting for the others to show up. This appeared to be an important meeting but apart from one other person no one had arrived yet. Another yawn came over the man.
"Oh please put your hand up when you yawn." Vega begged of the other man. "It's contagious, you know." She had to suppress a yawn of her own but forgot to follow her own advice and decided to stretch her limps to add to the insult. The woman had never been one to need a lot of sleep. She lived for the hours that she was awake and therefore rarely was up later than six in the morning. That didn't mean though that she was the boring person who went to bed far too early to not be a wreck the next day. She could still feel the edge of a hangover linger over her but her metabolism worked through alcohol quite fast - something to do with her being from a more futuristic time - so she had popped in a few pill against the pulsating in her head and went to the meeting as requested.Â
"So you reckon, that anyone else will show up?", she leaned forward and mustered the other agent with unhidden interest.
