Fun Headcanon for Payday: the heisters try to avoid as much damage to the getaway van as possible. One time they brought it back on its last legs (well, wheels) and Houston's resulting crash out even scared Wolf. Screaming, throwing heavy objects, needing to be held back from whoever's fault it was, the whole nine yards.
This year I'm running into some people who believe that Silent Salt is to blame for the fall of the beasts. Something I didn't really think people would be suggesting. Because by all means, I could never understand why people believe this.
When people bring this up, there are three points people will state to make their argument "sound".
The first is the idea that Silent Salt is in charge of the stability of the beasts. Solidarity being his virtue is taken to a weird extreme in this case, cause while it does mean groups of people gathering into a group for a mutual cause, fans seem to twist this into him being responsible for the beasts mental states and their health. Which quite frankly it isn't true. And even if it isn't, he is shown to reach out to the other beasts in his own flashback episode.
"But why didn't he do this before they corrupted? We only see him do this after they are corrupted!" Why would we believe that Silent Salt hasn't reached out to them before? Its just as likely to assume since we don't see Silent Salt and the other beasts interacting with one another pre corruption. We both could be as equally right as well as wrong in this case.
That being said, there is still something we must understand about the virtues as a whole. Cause assuming that Silent Salt is suppose to keep the beasts stable will be a result of the second point, where people are implying that the beasts have no agency in their fall. Which . . . this is the dumbest thing people can suggest.
It's not uncommon for this fandom, or any fandom, to blame a character's corruption on a single event/person/factor. Because this would have to mean the beasts had no control over who they are as people and were forced into these villain types. But that is not what Devsis is writing. We can talk shit about them all day, but by now I know they don't want to write the beasts this way, as they have stated before the beasts fell on their own terms due to human flaws. So it's pretty short sighted to see it that way.
The third thing that gets suggested is that Silent Salt and Elder Faerie knew about the beasts corrupting and decided to abandon them to make the tree. Thing is, again, in his own update, we see clearly they didn't know that.
Silent Salt at first was so convinced that his friends disappeared cause they might have been attacked, kidnapped, or faded away. He never once saw his brethren falling to the same darkness he and cookie kind did.
This is because the beasts were under this childish notion that they were unable to corrupt. That they were higher beings that couldn't be tainted by the world. Only to fall to their own toxic coping mechanisms and let their dark desires fester.
That's the whole point of Silent Salt crashing out. He never imagined this would happen. And now, he has to face the fact they never were divine or protected. They were simply just cookies playing god. Which considering recent events, kind of is still relevant.
I would hate to call the people who make these statements haters of his character. Cause I do wonder if this is just a conclusion some come to even still liking his character. But it's also just been used for defending the beasts and making his actions seem worse. But as we see, it all falls flat overtime. If anything, I just think this is a weird perspective that doesn't stand tall in the face of what actually is going on.

Reblog this picture of me holding a Family Size box of Honey Nut Cheerios? I’d really appreciate it.
How can I say no to such a great photo and such a polite request?
So while we're working on the ViceShift designs, we've decided to drop some concept stuff for the Beasts (and one minion)! Huge thanks to @theartfuldarkbeauty for their work!
New exe alert! Heavily inspired by Bizarro. I'll drop more on him if this post does well.
Thanks to @lilmissmiles for the art!
Hmm...these sure do look familiar

Hello old friend, I sent you out there years ago and you went and spread a lot of good karma, I just need your favour again, help me find some work 🧡
Seriously gonna block anyone that tries to claim/justify that White Lily was suicidal. Not once in the story did I think that, nor has she shown wanting to die. I don't know where people got that idea from because she never express anything like that or has the game said she was. The only one who was suicidal was Silent Salt Cookie. He begged White Lily to kill him, didn't care about Shadow Milk's death threats, and shattered his own Soul Jam once he was given a reason too without hesation. People are trying to claim Devsis is telling women with mental issues to die Called White Lily's death a "Suicidal Character Trope" It's sickening how far people are willing to go to label her as suicidal and act like it's canon when it's not! So sick of seeing posts on my feed trying to claim she is and making Devsis look awful. Just gonna block them and not waste my time with it
long-awaited reunion
I recently got the Eternal Spice Overlord costume in CRK
MAN, IF ONLY I HAD A CAPSAICIN COOKIE TO PUT IT ON
The Truthless Recluse himself! The king of the Vanilla Kingdom, the wielder of the Light of Concealment, and the scariest mofo among the Ancient Heroes!
Similar backstory to the Recluse in the Peak of Truth costume set. Did a whole journey, climbed the Peak of Truth, discovered what was up there (including one specific existential truth), and fell into despair. With one small exception, that being what happened next.
After a nice yogurt bath, Pure Vanilla Cookie took on the mantle of the Truthless Recluse and went about trying to shield his subjects and loved ones from, at the very least, that existential truth.
Adopted the Ginger Trio because he found out they knew and wanted to keep an eye on them. Trying to mess with them is the quickest way to find out why he's so feared.
Crops and plant life in the Vanilla Kingdom photosynthesize magic, and magic is a main part of education in schools and thus second nature to most Vanillians. The Recluse set this up so he could make it an everlasting night there without risking harm to his subjects.
He has a bit of a worse reputation in other places than he does in the Vanilla Kingdom. Think how in some incarnations, Dr. Doom is feared most places, but loved in Latveria because he runs the place well.
Can and does erase memories. As previously stated, this is less effective if you have a Soul Jam too.
I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF

TFP Shattered Glass Thoughts
Since I'm thinking about it again. This time about the Autobots. Not many, just some.
Optimus Prime has had a fixation on the true nature of Cybertron (read: Primus and his actual will, something constantly preached on this Cybertron and used as justification for the caste system) ever since he was Orion Pax and he was helping Megatron with his movement. He was so sure that this couldn't be the kind of order Primus wanted; maybe he could find some kind of evidence that it wasn't. Show his people that they were being lied to. He poured endless amounts of research into that; basically it was all his free time. Megatron noticed and tried to steer his friend away from this path because it was clearly damaging his mental state, but eventually this led to a huge fight after which Orion stormed off and did one last huge push of research. The result of this was him learning that Primus had been put in his slumber because he'd tried to destroy Cybertronians for not being perfectly ordered machines, and putting him into slumber was the best the Primes could do. UNDERSTANDABLY, this did the last bit of damage to his mind and drove him completely off the edge. He tracked down the Matrix, fully planning to destroy it, but Primus sensed something destructive in him, decided that empowering him could lead to a disastrous chain of events to punish his "rebellious" creations and "bring them back to order," and forced it onto him, transforming him into Optimus Prime (the Matrix couldn't control him, though, it just made him crazier). Optimus Prime killed almost the entire High Council and broadcast his findings, preaching the importance of finding your own place when your god hates you and declaring himself the new ruler of Cybertron, encouraging the people to destroy the system built on trust in Primus and building something new. Naturally this led to the Decepticons having worse problems to deal with, and the war started.
Ratchet hadn't even believed in Primus, so learning that Primus existed had shaken him. Learning that Primus hated his creations kind of put him back in "why should I care" mode, but with the added internal justification for some of his... less ethical... experiment ideas. He approached Optimus with them, and Optimus, wanting to create a stronger Cybertron, saw them as potential, so he allowed Ratchet into his inner circle.
Optimus had known Bumblebee when he was Orion. Saw him as a sweet kid that deserved better. So after he became Optimus, he brought Bee along as a scout, relying on his speed and stealth to get information. Fun Fact. Megatron still has a temper in this, and Bee once got caught at the worst possible time... and got a little mouthy, especially about his now destroyed friendship with Orion. You can guess the result. Megatron still considers it one of his lowest points.
Ultra Magnus had just wanted things to be orderly. Not Primus orderly, but predictable. Safe. Easy to work with. Before the war he'd been involved in law, and Optimus saw him as someone who could keep things running back home during the war, so he "recruited" him as second in command. Eventually, Prime's increasing insanity and fixation on Megatron made Ultra Magnus decide he was no longer fit to lead, and he led a coup that got VERY close to overthrowing Optimus, only failing because of Ratchet's intervention. Unfortunately for Ultra Magnus, someone else had seen what happened and been impressed by his leadership, and after Optimus Prime got through with him and tossed him out, they were waiting for him...
Arcee had been a loner before everything happened, but when the chaos started, she'd latched onto the first person she could ally with, and they became inseparable. As Autobots, she and Tailgate were incredibly effective, and Optimus sent them on risky missions all the time. Unfortunately, good things don't last in war, and Tailgate was killed on duty. Ever since then, Arcee has been desperately looking for something close to that kind of connection, hoping to replicate those feelings.
How's it going
Worse than I want, better than I deserve
What happened to the TFP Deity AU blog you linked on your fic “Let’s Play a Game”? (I just read it and I kind of wanna see more.)
I completely forgot that AU 😆
I might revamp it, actually. I have the idea of an entity called the Tinkerer...
