rereading System Collapse before I finally burst the bubble on Playform Decay. and a reminder that I made this after reading System Collapse because my brain was annoyed about the following

1. agbot ≠ written description in the book ☹️ (in my defense im not usually like this)

2. this gargantuan war monster reeks of certain plant slaughter. a clawy spike robot the size of a three story building moving fast seems like it could scare the shit out of humans and secunits, without having to look like an armored soldier

OK. Now that Edge of Mercy is coming out and I’m not stuck in hellhole as I was when Twisted Shadows comes out, I can finally carve out time for some art. I’ve been struggling to find some good references for the perfect latinx specimen that The Dead Man is. But I present my favorite model for Reece Davies: Blake Roman, the voice of Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel!

The Edge of Mercy is out in ARC form! please please please please NetGalley let me reeeeead. The things I have to say about these books. Reese and Grayson have taken up quite a lot of space in my head for the past three years.

At one point I even had an unhealthy obsession with F150s (they are serious gas guzzlers! any obsession with them is unhealthy. I was sitting in one just a month ago and I looked at the dashboard and it seriously said 16mpg, which I commented on and was told that it was only that high because they had just gotten off of the highway! 😩😩😩)

And one day I will show off my designed #drivelikeanempath bumper sticker

Also one day I will sit down and do my fantasy Liar City cover redesigns because Harlequin has not done these books justice!

I need y’all to realize that DIRECTING an episode does not equal WRITING an episode. I love that Shawn Hatosy directed Ep. 9 but people are crediting him on the written interactions between characters that SHOULD actually be credited to Cynthia Adarkwa, a Ghanaian American woman. Who wrote episode 9. And the interactions you’re all loving and feeling devastated over.

I think Shawn did an amazing job and helped pull great performances out of the actors, but once again, those performances and dialogues were created and written by Cynthia Adarkwa and the writing team.

Credit where credit is due.
