It’s not very often that games/movies cause my fight-or-flight to kick in.
The remake of Resident Evil 7 is one of those games that did exactly that.
Excellent game, fascinating story, but scary as all heck. At one point I screamed loud enough that my father, who was outside running the noisy-as-hell weed whacker could hear it.
💐🌷🌹🌺 send this to ten other bloggers you think are wonderful. Keep the game going!!! 🌺🌹🌈💌💝💐 💜💖❤️💖💜💖❤️💖
Thank you!! I think you’re a wonderful blogger too!
Oh my word
In less than three weeks I’m gonna be 27 years old...
OOC
I think today’s gonna be strawberry shortcake day.
Got a shit-load of strawberries, got biscuits...wait shit need whipped cream. Ah well, I can get that later.
And hopefully I can get caught up with replies now, now that I have a couple days off and don’t have four twelve hour shifts lined up.

One little hand forward, one more after, then it would repeat over and over. It looked fun that every stride, he would move across the path. That's exactly what was happening in the world where Ventus lives, but would not expect to see... a baby. Seriously, a little baby crawling across the path, wearing nothing but a little pair of red-and-yellow undies and a large golden crown over his locks of navy hair... he looked... familiar somehow. No! It couldn't be! Or could it...?
Ven was walking back from the summit after a long afternoon of training. It was hard training, and he was VERY tired as a result. He dragged one foot in front of the other down the stone path, almost looking straight at the ground.
He almost didn’t see the baby that was on that very same path.
“Whoa. What are you doing by yourself little guy?” Immediately he scooped the baby up, cradling him against his chest. Where were his parents? Why was he alone?

The baby boy was happier the second she began lifting him like that, where he was adjusted to seeing another close friend of his. It seemed that he was as happy as he was while witnessing Ven and Terra for the first time as an infant.
He just couldn’t help himself, where he needed to see some old friends. With a happy squeal, the baby baron rested on her side and held onto her side, before he began climbing her like a tree!
Aqua was not expecting him to start climbing her, and she nearly dropped him.
All three of their hearts jumped into their throats, and the boys lunged for him.
But she steadied him with lightning reflexes much to the others’ relief. “Oh, jeez, I wish he wouldn’t do that.”
Ven gave a relieved sigh, hand settling over his still-hammering heart. Terra had a similar reaction. “Dedede, you should be more careful. You could fall and hurt yourself.”
Even if she would drop him, Dedede would just float without a single scratch on him. The more he spent time as a baby, the quicker he was getting adjusted to his abilities; Dedede really knew how to unintentionally scare the living daylights out of the trio, as all his movements were unpredictable.
As the babe remained in her hold, he laughed at their reactions before he did his next move…
… a Waddle Dee!! He plopped on the floor, regaining his surroundings, before he saw that he was in the precense of the King’s loyal friends… and babysitters?? Dedede fell right on top of him, his hands holding onto the side, watching with glee at the Dee trying to comprehend the situation!
The King was a KID????
There was a collective gasp from the trio, followed by fussing over the king.
“Waddle Dee?” Ven ventured. “Do you know what caused him to…de-age?”
“’De-age’? Is that even a word–”
“YES, Terra, it is.” Ven glared at the man in question before repeating his question. “What caused this to happen?”
Aqua scrubbed at her face, sighing heavily. The kid was already getting the hang of scaring her out of her wits.
Waddle Dee’s couldn’t speak English but only had their own language which consisted of panicky-sounding squeaks. Obviously nobody understood him, not even Dedede… but even if he spoke the tongue, he wouldn’t be able to…
He’s a baby. Need that be established more?
So, the baby patted the head, making the guard blink at each one, where something clicked, and he took the infant off of his head. His stubby arms under the baby’s armpits, the black eyes analysed him up and down… King Baby?…?
Ven’s face deadpanned, realizing that the Waddle Dees couldn’t speak English.
“Any idea at all?” It only took a second for the last of his patience to slip away. “Do you even understand a word I’m saying!?”
Terra bit back a sigh. Ven’s patience ran on such a short fuse sometimes, though he couldn’t blame him in this case.

“I am Master Eraqus. I’m Ven, Aqua, and Terra’s teacher. I’ve heard quite a bit about you already. I’m going to take care of you for a while. Perhaps you can even join the Keyblade training.” He smiled softly and patted her head.
Ven’s heart sank a little. He knew from the wording that this would not be a permanent thing. He’d already grown attached to her, saw her as a little sister in the making. He didn’t want to lose her so soon.
“Yeah,” He finally said, smiling at her. “I can show you some moves too, when I’m feeling better.”
{☁} A little while….she had heard that a few too many times. “That’s okay.” She said, smiling up gently. It was okay- because she had gotten that response before. She’d be around before shoving off again to the next place, to maybe make a home there instead. It was a little tiring having to go place to place, but she’d get used to it, right?
Hopefully not. She’d find a place. But what all would happen in return for a resting place, even was more needed to know. Knowledge no one else had. Destined to be one of the many who had lost their way; and despite would be remembered, unlike some, never to be seen again as their former selves.
She didn’t really care though… She’s figure out how to do things. She didn’t speak quite right- it was evidence that she had lived alone for quite some time now. No one would know how long.
Though her face screwed up a little, having been obviously lit up, placing hands on her hips. “How can we know lots about people when you don’t know them all too good?” Much to learn on many things, especially the ability that the heart can give.
Eraqus blinked, not expecting that sort of question from the girl. But it was a question he could answer.
“Well, we can’t know someone until we meet them. You become friends with that person, and over time you will learn about them.”
Ven couldn’t help but smile at how adorable she looked when she scrunched up her nose. “Aw, Rena...” He snaked an arm out of the blanket cocoon and ruffled her blonde hair. “You’re too cute.”

Ven almost flinched at Aqua’s reaction. She blocked it, but it was clumsy and she even shut her eyes. The Aqua he knew would not have reacted like that at all. He backed off, disheartened. But he would not give up, he refused to.
“You blocked it, but you can’t shut your eyes. Your opponent can take advantage of that easily. Also, your blocking stance isn’t proper.” He began adjusting her arms and legs into the proper position, worry nagging at the back of his mind.
“Um, alright…” Aqua said, her hands fumbling over the sword again as she readjusted her grip on it. “Does this happen a lot? To go through all this it sounds a little dangerous…” The others were talking quietly amongst themselves, too quiet for Aqua to make out. “I suppose I’m not living up to the standard, Ven…”
“Don’t be silly Aqua–” Ven heard faint chattering from their audience, and paused to glare at them. Anger bubbled in his chest, a rare emotion for him to feel. He turned on his heel to face them, face contorted in a scowl.
“I’m sorry could you speak up? I don’t think we could hear you!” He bellowed, making Roxas yelp in surprise at the random outburst. Were they seriously doubting Aqua’s abilities? What were they talking about that they didn’t think he had the right to know?
Sora pulled a sour face before calling back. “I was asking about her armor!” The mention of that piqued Aqua’s interest, and it didn’t take her long to zero in on the piece attached to Ven’s shoulder.
“I have armor, too?”
Ven forgot about the armor entirely. But the last time he’d seen her armor, it was a mangled mess. But now that Sora had mentioned it, which was much better than what he thought was being discussed (like sending Aqua away).
“Yeah, you have armor, but I think it’s still damaged from when you were hurt.” He gave Sora an apologetic look before continuing. “I have armor myself. I’ll show you.”
He hit the shoulder plate, and in a second was donned in his battle armor. “Yours is a little different in shape and color, but it’s really cool either way!”
Aqua was still holding onto the wooden practice sword with one hand, but with the other she was it to poke and prod at the sharper edges of Ven’s armor. She took hold of his wrist and moved his arm to see how it moved, and gently tapped a knuckle against his visor. “It’s beautiful,” she said, awestruck. Especially with the way it had appeared. “You have a magic button for it and everything, I– Well, I guess mine’s gone, isn’t it?”
Not that she’d like need it anytime soon, she thought. She could even fight, why would she need armor?
Ven felt tears well up in his eyes as he let Aqua rotate his arm and poke at his armor. She appeared to lack confidence in herself, which was breaking his heart and scaring the hell out of him.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t keep himself from trembling from the building anxiety. He took a deep breath through his nose, and slowly exhaled out his mouth, and even his breath was shaky. “It’s being fixed, Aqua. You’ll be able to use it, you’ll see.”
What could he do to restore her memory? He felt he was running out of ideas, which was also a terrifying thought.
