If we don’t take the time to savor and love what we already have, we will live as if we have nothing.

Do you have a boyfriend ?
Nope! It would be nice, but it’s not something that you can really force if you want to have good results. I live a pretty fulfilled life though and when the time is right I’m ready for it so I just gotta trust I’ll meet someone when I’m meant to.
Okay I just had to die laughing at the convo in the replies because...
My Saturn Return in the 7th House brought me~~~ drumroll please ~~~
A business partner. Pretty par for the course for Saturn transits and me actually. I never get the sexy house significations. Even the 8H transit ended up being a lot about investments and active deathwork (wouldn't trade it but still...)
Are there blogs about astrotheology?
God I hope not… If people are applying astrology in this way they’re completely missing the point.
I don't know the context of the ask, but actually after so much time... Astrolatry really ended up in some really interesting places. Of course institutionalized religion has been an evil in this world for longer than we know but... I personally get really inspired when I think about the work that was done by the Sabians of Harran and that was an "astrotheologian" context. (Looking at you Picatrix) You can really see my knee-jerk anti-religious bent in this response though. Nowadays I'm more apathetic to the whole thing, even though it makes me really sad to see what has been wrought on this world in the name of "deity".
If they were talking about the context in which astrology and the abrahamic faiths have been frankensteined across history (including the modern era)... it still gives me the heebie jeebies. That being said, to each their own I guess?
I saw your post on what kind of person I would be if my houses and planets were flipped. I realized that I would be an amazingly happy person and way more successful. This actually kind of messed me up and I’m lookin at my chart now and it’s super trashy.
I’m going to have to put this line of thinking down right away. It’s literally the most ridiculous, whiny, self-defeating thing I’ve read today. Everyone, EVERYONE goes through hardships in their life, and just because someone is configured to be more extroverted, introverted, self, or other oriented doesn’t mean that they are inherently more disposed to being happy. My chart is entirely focused below the horizon and according to our society’s standards I should be a useless mess that has never achieved anything in their life. I even commented that the person I would be with flipped houses might have more material success, but you know that doesn’t equal happiness right? I have a gift that money could never buy, and I gave it to myself through many years of self-reflection and learning who I am. I prioritized things like close friendships that are strong and long lasting, experiences that radically changed my world view, a healthy relationship with my mind, an exploration of what it means on a fundamental level to be human, and all of these things were encouraged by the type of chart that I have. If I had poured all of that same energy into “my career” or “social climbing” what kind of hollow, empty person would I be? Then again, perhaps that person would be happy too. The fact of the matter is that you have your chart because that’s the way the cosmos were aligned at the moment you were born. Rather than sitting there feeling sorry for yourself and thinking that the grass is always greener maybe you should instead look at all the ways you’re blessed by your natal chart. There are no re-rolls when it comes to life, and no one else is going to be able to change your circumstances. If you’re unhappy then maybe start with asking why that is. We all have the potential to love and to receive love, and we’re all worthy of happiness and fulfillment. If you think that success is the only way to gain happiness then maybe you need to readjust your ideas of what success actually is. At the end of the day you can’t change the cards that you’re dealt in this life, and unless you realize the value of your high cards you’re never going to play your best hand.
I’m sure this is coming off a bit severe, but I was very squarely in your shoes for a lot longer than I would’ve liked. I wish back then that I’dve had someone who understood what the process of learning astrology can do to you. Perhaps that person would have told me to get off my ass and stop feeling sorry for myself. All of the features that I loathed about my chart have become my greatest power. That only came from examining why I hated those parts of myself so much, and then figuring out what positive things they’ve brought into my life along with the perceived negatives. Every astrological sword is double-edged, and the true power of this art is re-framing your problems so that you have greater autonomy to act in the future.

You blog is such a positive blog. I love your tolerant take on things. Thank you for being so kind.
Lol I worry sometimes that I come off as a dick, but I really just want people to be happy and be able to love themselves. Thank you for sending this message!
Happiness is overrated, but I still want people to be able to love themselves. Self-love is reality shifting in a way you will never truly understand before making it a priority. It can and will enrich every single breath that you take.
Hey, so I’ve got Aquarius Moon conjunct Uranus in my Aquarius descendant. Basically, am I going to marry an alien?
I think that I would make this statement more with a Sagittarius Venus conjunct Jupiter in the 7th or 9th. [:
Badumbum.
Holy shit, it took me while to get my own joke here but... we got there and it's still funny.

Do you have Virgo energy ? You seem so picky And critical at times but then again smart enough to point stupid bull shit and make sense of an argument so I’m not throwing shade hahaha Anyways what are some good astrology books !?
I actually don’t really have much Virgo energy in my chart. Both of my parents are Virgos though so I’m pretty well acquainted with it. Interestingly enough having a sharp and critical eye can come from Libra and being picky comes from Leo also. If you consider that each sign is what you get by adding its two adjacent signs together then you can get some really interesting insight into the sign archetypes!!As far as book recommendations go, it’s kind of hard to make cold suggestions since it all depends on where in your journey you are. Recommendations that I like for everyone are “Astrology for the Soul” by Jan Spiller, and Sasha Fenton’s “Rising Signs”
I haven't sat with the adjacent sign thing in SO LONG but it's honestly such a fun exercise that can help you to deepen your relationship with the zodiacal archetypes.
Also, I can't believe I haven't thought about Astrology for the Soul in so long. That book kicked my ASS. Still highly recommend it even though I disagree with some of its approach.
do you like Pisces and cancer suns?
I tend to draw a lot of Pisces Suns into my life, and tbh they drive me insane. I love so many things about the Piscean archetype, and interacting with a Pisces Sun on an intellectual or creative level is so incredibly satisfying… BUT: I fucking hate flakes, and when they’re upset about something they’ll just swim in circles and won’t listen to any advice or do anything to change their situation. Just complain and complain and be a victim and complain some more.
Cancer Suns are among my absolute favorite Sun signs, even though I get frustrated with them at times they always make me feel so comfortable and welcome. It’s partially a mixture of it being my Ascending sign, and also partly the fact that my sister is a Cancer Sun. It’s always such a nostalgic feeling for me, and I really appreciate the fact that Cancer (especially on the Sun) doesn’t feel the need to fill empty space with words. I have worked really hard over the years to learn to be comfortable with silence, and it’s something that most Cancer Suns just get. What I don’t like about them is how easily they’ll flake on plans because “they don’t feel like it”, or “something came up” but really they just stay home.
I felt that "I fucking hate flakes" in my SOUL.
That being said, I've gotten a lot better in my life at not expecting things from other people so the disappointment on that front has lessened a lot. The intellectual and open-minded side of Pisces remains my favorite thing about the sign. I really value nonjudgmental people as it makes them incredibly easy to be around.
Also, I'm very proud of myself for cultivating the skill of allowing silence in conversation. My Libran self used to be so concerned with coming off as boring or spiraling into internal self-criticism, but now I feel powerful when I'm simply present and allowing the moment to be what it will without trying to prognosticate the contents of someone else's brain.
