It aches. It's slow. Every stitch hurts, my mind fixated on a hemorrhaging wound. I wonder if I should even continue, if this can be made into a "good piece"—each stitch or needle puncture parallel to the act of poking a sick animal with a stick, trying to understand a disease I don't know how to heal.
