He didn’t like this girl, indeed, however he couldn’t deny that he was intrigued. She was different from other people he had encountered in his life so far, so very different that he couldn’t quite read her actions yet. Usually such wasn’t a tough thing to do. Once you exchanged a few words with someone, you were able to come up with an easy formula to predict their actions. Such had easily been the case with this horrible ponytailed boy, but apparently she wasn’t like that. Wasn’t it amazing and fascinating that differences could be so big despite similar appearances?
Yes, he would bother to spare a moment of his precious time with her.
Verdant hues narrowed sharply on the brunette, a disgusted sound resonating from the back of his throat before he waved his hand in a dismissive fashion. “Blinded by ideals? What a ridiculous thought to connect this with my being. I am neither blinded or deluded by something as false as ideals.” Of course truth always sparked from strong ideals, however ideals changed over time, whereas the truth would always remain painful and bitter. Much better suited for a world separated in Black and White, right? “I much prefer the truth, that is correct. Why should I bother with everchanging ideals and fantasies, when it’s easier to rely on never changing truths and the base of the world?”
Amaterasu… This was an interesting name; N found his curiosity growing. Reaching up, he took of his hat in a fashion that was supposedly polite, but it was more condescending than anything else. “Named after the goddess of the sun, I take it. Very well, Amaterasu. You may call me N.” The greenet paused, staring the short girl down with a blank face. “As much as I enjoy riddles, I do not like being kept in the dark. I suggest you tell me your… secret before I lose interest in this conversation.”
A bored N was never a good idea, after all.
His dislike for her considering that apparently a girl with her appearance had ruined his dreams was understandable. How could someone not hold a distaste for someone when the dream was so strong and had been the very same for so many years? While she wasn't him and didn't know his personal life, Amaterasu knew the gist... The Dark Trinity were vague with their description of his past when she and Touya were making their way for the final battle between the two chosen heroes. She was, of course, left to assume that his childhood was the same... Or at least similar in that regard. However, he was different from the king she knew and apparently followed a different path considering his response when she spoke of the man who had her brother as a companion. Yes, he seemed to be quite the Hero of Truth-- Speaking that ideals were false and he preferred the truth instead. Being the being that represented such, of course she could only show happiness to such words and beam a little in contrast to N's expression that remained stern.
"Yes, this is very true indeed, my friend." She agreed, giggling quietly as she stood before him, hands lacing behind her back as they often did when she spoke to others or was walking on her travels. "The truth is an inevitable thing; something that everyone must face in the end, no matter how beautiful their ideals may seem." Surely the idealistic world her brother and that king sought seemed glorious in their own eyes, but they had to see the truth in their ways... Everyone needed to accept it in the end, after all.
The truth was a bitter medicine. Representing such a thing left her a being to be disliked because of people preferring blissful lies over the bitter truth.
And then she laughed, shaking her head a little at his words. It was often she heard such a thing, and it always amused her to hear it. Perhaps it flattered her a bit, knowing that there were some people that were actually named after her... Though she wasn't named after herself. She was merely herself, Amaterasu the sun goddess. "I am not named after Amaterasu, my dear." she corrected with a smile. "I am Amaterasu-- Though you may know me better as a representation of that which you seem to hold so highly, N Harmonia."
By that, she meant her true form, of course-- Reshiram, she was called, apparently. Humans classified her as her own species, though she still held a name just as every other being did.
