My first drawing for vulnerable animals week on Insta! This year I've decided to do all Aussie animals, since unfortunately there are a lot of vulnerable and endangered creatures here to choose from. The theme for Monday is spring/dewdrop, and the animal I picked is the adorably fuzzy greater glider.

Ugh Possums are hard to draw. This is like, sketch no 50 or something. I'll keep plodding away at stylizing them, as I want to make another sticker pack. Wondering about this as a tote bag design? I'm not sure actually. Might just call this one practice.

Also it turns out possums are the hardest thing I have ever drawn. I thought it would be a simple animal to stylize because they're so distinct, but no. They end up looking like foxes, and civets, and raccoons: making a possum look like a possum pushed me to my limits. I think I've almost got them though.

Sticker concept. I'm not sure about it though. I like it conceptually but I think the execution is bugging me.

I know no one is probably enoying these possums as much as I am, but I think... I think I finally stylized them to a degree I'm happy with. Only took me three days of constant possum drawing.

The head might still be a taaaaad form-y compared to the body but I didn't have the skills to flatten it futher.
