âNo, Iâm fine. Just been busy with work and such.â
âWhat is this?â
âMeat loaf.â
â...I know.â
keita-nazario:
âI understand that. Crowds like this are a little overwhelming to me sometimes.â
âI donât know why I volunteered in the first place, to be honest.â
robiras:
âIt was fun, Iâm glad in the end I came to see John bid on possibly every basket availableâŠâ
âIncluding mine?â
âHonestly, I wonât be surprised if he bails. He seems to have his hands full, you know?â
keita-nazario:
âIt was really hectic, wasnât it?â
âYeah. Iâm not exactly good with crowds, either.â
âTo be honest, Iâm just glad itâs over with.â
âAbsolutely! I just want to jump up and down with excitement!â
âBut if I do that, I might trample a bunch of people. Probably you, since youâre near me. So, I must stay calm. Calm.â
âI mean, youâre allowed to be excited. Itâs hard not to be!â
âIâm pretty good, sweetheart. Itâs so wonderful to see you smile!â
âThatâs quite alright. Iâm starving so I figured Iâd see if Iâve got enough money to pick one. Do any of them smell good to you? I prefer to trust my nose than descriptions.â
âAnything that has homemade food has got to be good. I mean, I hope.â
âIt most definitely does! How are you this morning?â
âDo you have your eye on any baskets?â
âOh, Iâm all right. Howâre you, Henry?â
âIâm not sure yet. Iâm mostly just here because Faye talked me into it.â
âIt seems like the whole town is here, doesnât it?â
âOh. I... guess I was wondering if you were busy.â
ericraleigh:
Eric couldnât help but laugh, holding his stomach as he did. âThatâs pretty funny actually and youâre right about that. Iâve never known what goes in it. I tried to ask once, but no one would tell me.â He shrugged his shoulders. âIt looks soft, so it must taste not half bad, but itâs also just a giant slab of meat. Thatâs a strange concept.â
âI donât want to know what kinds of things people consider meat.â
pete-parsons:
âThanks, V.â He smiled, taking the empty seat by her. âYou know, itâs weird being in here. I donât like it. And this suit sucks.â
âTry being ready to run in four inch heels.â
pete-parsons:
âWe can worry about the slapping later, V. Right now, we gotta try to get away from a bear that wants to maul us.â Peter whispered, peeking over the log to see what the bear was doing. âDo you have a sandwich or something?â
âNo! Why would I have a sandwich?â
drizella-moore:
âOutside of that and book titles, I donât really have anything else to recommend for you.â Izzy shrugged. âMaybe a circus will roll into Ever After. Then thereâll be something to do.âÂ
âIâve always been a fan of books.â
drizella-moore:
Izzy nodded. âYes please, Iâd like that. Itâs a small purse, probably about this big,â she used her hands, roughly estimating the size of her purse with them. âand itâs a light teal color.â
âAll right.â Veronica nodded, disappearing into the office of the restaurant before emerging again, unsuccessful. âIâm sorry,â she said, holding out her empty hands.
melissa-kent:
âYou have a bit of humor in you as well.â Melissa pointed out, keeping a friendly tone and smile. âIâm Melissa. You are?â
âSarcastic,â she finished, laughing a bit.
âMy friends call me V.â
