So I made a post on the BFDI Wiki, figured I’d share it with y’all here

So uh Leafy

Basically I came up with a theory about how/why she went crazy in Yoyleland. So plants use sunlight to make sugar, correct? This means Leafy is constantly sugared up, explaining her happy and ecstatic mood. When she got banished to Yoyleland, she didn’t have as much sunlight (we know this from Pin claiming there’s less sunlight in Yoyleland during IDFB). Therefore, she didn’t have her usual level of sugar, probably leading to withdrawal and irritation. Add to that the fact that her friends abandoned her, and her best friend either hates or completely forgot her, and you have all the ingredients for an angsty leaf. This is where stuff gets weird. After turning metal, it’s obvious that Leafy can’t get ANY sugar from the sun anymore, meaning she is 100% dependant on Yoyleberries. Knowing how plants (and living things in general) work, these berries wouldn’t supply her with enough materials to live. Also, in BFDIA 5a, we know that she gets bored of the tase enough to eat an entire RAW ONION. After she gets killed and probably recovered again, she runs back to Yoyleland. This may not seem messed up, but consider her knife attacks. The two groups we see her attack both have food-based characters: Fries and Gelatin. Knowing how Leafy has turned murderous and hungry, it’s not that far off to assume that she was HUNTING PEOPLE FOR FOOD. It’s also important to note that Teardrop and Fries ate Nickel and Spongy around the same time, meaning cannibalism isn’t too uncommon in the BFDI universe. So, that’s it, tell me your thoughts.

Yeah…the knives. Basically, I’m assuming that Yoyleberries turned themselves (and everything else in Leafy’s stomach) metal…so yeah…she gained the ability to shit knives.
