It being the series of screenshots. Those are fun I mean I'm doing them for like a wink at anyone else whose seen these films, to highlight a part of them I found pretty, just to expose what I'm doing with my present time, and also, though I know failingly / erringly, trying to offer it as a prism for the bigger picture ♥️🤓

It could use the soft focus exit, maybe consistent timings of screenshots, at least definitely more screenshots. Maybe critically timed. Btw when I said rewatch before I meant the whole thing I started while drinking coffee on the toilet and then just had it on the bluetooth speaker in the shower :) and I'm writing this homework about it it is fun! But yeah I haven't gotten to the flashlight scene I'm not sure if I will zzzzzzzzzzz

I was. Well first let me say I can appreciate the hokiness of posting about Le Beau Serge in 2026 I don't know .. but like. I was so elated by the flashlight scene at the end I mean particularly the shot just as he's getting Serge out of the little barn, and the shot through the wrought iron fence with the snowdrift on it, which was first caught on the way in as well, but without the action happening on the inside of it I think. Maybe François passes in front of it actually I'm going to rewatch it now, I've been disappointed to not have been able to find it outside of criterion bc there is no option for French subtitles :s . Anyway I'm watching it for a French lesson. But yeah oh right also I was so elated by that scene I like wondered if it was famous in film history. Also disappointed in the screenshots I chose to post of Serge's face. It is too close to misery for someone who hadn't seen it recently, too close to Yvonne's agony but now I'll hopefully correct that.
