2016 Accomplishments

I’m a very impatient and grandiose person. I make big plans and expect everything to go perfectly, so it’s easy for me to get down on myself if things don’t work out the way I wanted. I accomplished a lot of things this year and it’s important for me (and everyone) to remember the small wins. Here are some of mine, share yours too!

-I figured out a way to relate my separate art projects to one another and came up with a branding plan

-I’m a DJ and I became part of a different DJ group, I was also asked to open for some better known DJ’s in my city!

-I started writing and my writing was featured in two magazines

-I launched a website and it got 3000 page views in it’s third month of being active

-I walked in a runway show, acted in a web series, and starred in a short film

-My artwork was one of the pieces chosen to be displayed at Amber Rose’s Slutwalk

-I got a second job and therefore learned how to manage my time better

-I’m planning photo shoots with photographers I have not worked with yet

-I learned more about running a business at my second job and am now planning to start a business with my best friend

-I gave up camming for good, which was a very positive move for me because it put me in a bad place mentally (sex work is not for everyone)

-If you measure success in followers (lol) I gained a bunch of IG followers

Lastly, I did all of this while grieving the loss of my grandfather, the family member I was closest to my entire life. It’s important to encourage yourself, celebrate all of your wins no matter how big or small, and tell yourself you did a good job. What are you proud you did this year?
