I don’t know where I was going with this but if there’s one thing you get from this post: don’t be like me.

Write as much as you can, no matter how pointless or silly it seems in the moment.

There’s a lot of thoughts that I would really benefit from writing down (anything from daily mundane shit, to deeper insights that hit every few months).

But my brain does this funny thing where it sees those and says “Nah, that one seems really important, we would obviously remember that thing- no need to journal it 😊 ”

And then I forget it by the next day.

one day I woke up and realised all the waiting and yearning was actually me living my life and it’s happening right now and it’s still good even if it’s not perfect and there is no moment when all your dreams get fulfilled and everything makes sense. like… this is it. this is life. you’ll waste away your youth waiting for some imagined future if you don’t love life for what it is now and make the most of it

@ anyone who’s mentally/emotionally struggled to make it to this point (way more than you think anyone ever should just to stay alive and get to the next day):

I’m proud of you.

Some days, weeks or even months just feel insurmountable to live through and pushing through past that inner voice telling you “things will never get better” is a fucking massive achievement.

Don’t listen to it, find your joy where you can and know you’re not alone. Love y’all, and hope you have a good night 🌙
