Empathy
affective empathy is feeling what another person feels, or feeling an emotion along the same lines as the person because they feel that way
cognitive empathy is knowing what the other person feels, but not feeling it
both are due to behavioural clues being identified and analysed, whether consciously or subconsciously, and neither is inherently better or worse. one simply leads down an emotional route, and the other down a non-emotional route.
Sympathy
this is when you feel an emotion as a direct response to another's emotion or circumstances. for example, feeling sad for someone who is grieving, or feeling happy for someone who has achieved something. it can also mean showing emotion (not necessarily one you feel) in response.
Compassion
this is simply showing kindness in response to someone else's emotion. like listening to someone who needs it, or doing an act of service or kindness for someone in a rough spot.
Morality
this is the system, whether internal or external, by which you make decisions on what is good and what is bad. this could be a system that is entirely personal, or an outside one such as a religious or societal moral code.
Conscience
this is often described as the little voice in your head telling you right from wrong. basically knowing that a certain action is something you should or should not do
Remorse
feeling bad because you have done something wrong that you know you shouldn't have done
Regret
wishing you had not done something because of its consequences or implications
Guilt
feeling bad because of the effects your actions have had
