I approach, what I hope is, Victoire’s door and go to knock. Then stop. Would my sister be alright? Would she be the same bouncy sister that I knew so well? But, before I could run back down the hall, I sucked up the courage and rapped three times on the door.
I groaned and sat up on the bed, rubbing my eyes. The knocking came again. I dragged my feet over the the door, not bothering to look through the peep hole. I swung the door open. “Dommie!” I squeeled, happy to see your smile once again. “Come in,” I say, grinning widely.
“Vic! I’m glad you’re okay.” I smile, relieved to finally see you again. “How are you doing?” I step through the doorway into your assigned room and seat myself on the bed.Â
I follow you and sit on the bed, resting my head on your shoulder. ”Tired,” I laugh, “but I’ve been good.” I lie. It’s been rough here, but I don’t want to say anything about it. Teddy, Charisma leaving, I don’t really want to bother anyone more than I already have. I usually like to keep my issues close. I clear my throat. “How are you doing? I’ve missed you so much.”
“Oh..” I said, swallowing the lump that had grown in my throat. “I’m alright. And I’ve missed you so much, Vic…” That was the truth… Well.., almost the truth. Honestly- completely honestly- sometimes, I wished she didn’t come back. I mean, who else would comfort Teddy besides me, and then, eventually Teddy would lean his head on my shoulder… Look at me… And then..
But, back to reality. I smiled. “I really am glad you’re here.” Hopefully that was the truth. I really did hope.Â
I frown, seeing that you drifted off for a bit. When I mentioned Teddy.
What? Nevermind. "I'm glad I'm here too!" I laugh. "Just kidding. I'm so glad your here. I've missed you so much. You're the same as I remember. Pretty," I pet your hair as I say this, "and smart. It runs in the family." I sigh, and jump on from the bed as I say, "This is boring. Do you wanna like, do something?" I need to get out of this room. With no one to sleep with or talk to, with Tammy being gone, with that empty bed.. I only have the company of myself most of the time.

I lay in bed, looking out the window. I haven’t been doing much since I’ve last seen Charisma. It is just sprinkling outside, I thought to myself. I sat up from the bed, muscles aching from just laying there for so long. I grabbed my coat and went out the door, almost in a hurry to finally get…
I heard my name. Immediately I turned around. Almost gleefully I shouted, “Victoire!” I ran through the leaves towards you, wrapping my arms around you. I grinned, “You’re safe!” I looked at the Iface of the cousin I admired most, the beautiful smile, distinct features and long blonde hair that I had once wished to trade for my fire-red colour.Â
I pick you up and spin you around, squealing. “Just how I remember you,” shaking my head, “beautiful girl.” Lily has always been a pretty girl, full of excitement. And you didn’t even have to meet her to know. Look at a picture. Her smile was enough to cheer me up. “How are you?!”
I giggle quietly as I’m placed back on the ground, “I’m good, Vic! How are you?” I stood in awe. I was glad you were safe.
I actually had to think that over. (Is that bad)? How was I doing? “Fine,” I shrugged, “not too good, to be honest. But it’s gotten better.” I could see you looked worried, so I added, “It’s so much better now that you’re here, and safe. Everyone actually. Teddy isn’t here but…” I paused. This was a twelve year old I was talking to. “I’m sure he’s perfectly fine.” I smiled reassuringly for the finishing touch. And after saying that, I realized, it didn’t hurt as much as it did before to talk about Teddy being gone.
I thought about Teddy for a moment, and giggled to myself. I remembered a few summers back, when my mum had played for the Harpies, and Teddy and you had been given the unforgettable task of babysitting me, along with Albus and James. I closed my eyes as I remembered when I made Teddy play hide-and-seek with me until it was dark out. I had spent half the afternoon looking for him.
I opened my eyes and looked at you, my grin still placed on my face, “maybe he’s hiding!”
I smiled, wishing I was back at that age. Where nothing is really.. serious, you know? Nothing can really go wrong if you don’t want it to. “He’s probably playing hide-and-seek huh?” I agree, bending over so I can be face-to-face with you. I grin and whisper, “How about when I have free time, you and I can play hide-and-seek, huh? And when teddy comes along, he can join us.” I teared up at the memory. “I even remember when we all used to play hide-and-seek. We spent forever trying to find him. He was the best at that game.”
“He was the greatest! I hope he comes out of hiding soon,” I grinned. “Can we play hide and seek tomorrow?” I take your hand and look into your eyes eagerly, “Please, please, pleaaaaaase?”
“How could I pass up an opprotunity like that!” I say. It felt good to be doing something fun once in awhile.
“You can’t,” I laugh, straightening my posture, “although I must warn you, I’m getting really good at hiding!”
"I believe you." I smile real wide. "Plus, you're so small you could probably hide anywhere!" I blink and look around. It's getting dark. "We should head back," I say, "it's getting to be night. I think someone back at the dorms are worried about us." I take your hand and start walking with you, our hands clasped together and swinging as we walk.

I sigh as we stand up, not wanting to leave your side. My roommate hadn’t been around in awhile, I really didn’t want to be left alone with only my thoughts to keep me company. “Hey.. are we like… allowed to switch rooms?” I crossed my fingers behind my back and smiled at you.
My smile dissapeared. “Yeah. They should.” I mumbled. “Tammy hasn’t been around. It’d be nice to be able to talk to someone tonight. But it was still nice talking to you now.” I remembered the promise, holding up my pinkie. “You promise you won’t give up?” I gestured to my outstretched pinkie. “Especially on me?” I winked.
“Certainly.” I take your pinky around mine and smile. “Tammy should be around soon if they’ve got her name on their list.”
I smile, look down, and then at you again. I say in a quiet voice, "Again, thank you for being here. Really, no one else has. I'm never that open.." my voice trails off, "I'm sorry if I've been bothering you, though. I know you've got too much to deal with already." You shake your head, and I smile slightly again. "Goodnight." I step away and walk backwards to my room, keeping my eyes on you, only turning at the last moment to go into my room. I walk into my room and observe the area, only to turn and run back to the door, flinging it open. "Molly!" I call. You turn around, brow scrunched. "Love you!"

I loved this. I love the feeling. Not just running in the rain- just running. Running because I thought it was fun. Not because I had to save something or someone, or because there was danger behind me. This one moment made me feel as if I was free falling. "You having a hard time?" I teased you.

I raise a brow and crouch foward, ready to take off. "One.." I start, the rain coming down harder. "Two..." I am entirely focused on the road ahead. "Three." The last word escaped my mouth, and before I could finish, you already started running. I laughed "That sneaky.." I ran after you.

”I thought so.” I winked. You looked at me in suprise, your eyes widening. “Yes. I know.” I look around, the streets still as empty and quiet as before, when it started to rain. “We shoud get back to the dorms,” I imply, “and a rainy day is perfect to stay indoors with Albus.”
