In the only study of intersex adults in the US that’s ever been done, 90% of intersex people report being in poor health, we’re more likely to be unemployed and poor, and the majority of intersex people report facing significant discrimination.  It is not easy for us, especially those of us who are also marginalized in other ways, like intersex people of color and trans intersex people.

Hi, I have strep and I can't work all of this week and half of next week I'm taking off for a youth retreat since I'm a youth worker and I'm going as staff. My roommates and I need some groceries to last us until I get paid Thursday, so I'd appreciate any help that's available. I spent the last of my money getting medication for the strep throat and the viral infection I have, and then a Lyft home after that. So I'm quite literally down to my last few pennies til Thursday.

I literally think people who complain about other people asking for donations or posting gofundme’s or their wishlists are weird. not everyone has a support system that can provide for them and sometimes your needs exceed the dollar amount on your paycheck.

rich AND wealthy people ask for help but it looks ‘different’ on them and their kids. rich people won’t give someone $20k cash in your hand, but they hook up their nephew and family friends with a senior position at their million dollar company at 22.

the rich won’t give someone free housing, but they’ll make a foundation that helps ‘those in need’ and you don’t know who they are because it’s just their rich friends.

the rich won’t pay for your college, but will create high dollar ‘merit awards’ where the Ivy League brats they know are continuous recipients of it.

all I’m saying is that if you see someone asking for help, consider that they have fallen on hard times and everyone around them is having a hard time or maybe they were born with a support system that supports them in ways that just aren’t financial or maybe they just need help and don’t owe you the energy needed to validate their online behavior

it could be anything, but there is never any shame in asking for help. ever.

happy pride month, me and my wife are disabled and need help with buying some medical equipment!

my butch needs new glasses. an appointment with the optometrist will be $58, and the glasses themselves will probably be about $30. ideally id like them to have a second pair in case the first one is broken or lost, so that's another $30. we need $118 total for cy's glasses

i desperately need a knee brace, as well as compression sleeves for my elbows. for the type of knee brace i need, it'll be somewhere around $50. compression sleeves are a bit less expensive, ill probably need about $20 for those, so $70 total

we need a total of $188

i understand we're all struggling right now so please only donate if you're in a place to comfortably do so. anything we receive past the goal of 188 will go towards our daily expenses, as only one of us can work currently and im not capable of working enough to cover these alone

The latest d*n*t*n post I’ve put out has so many notes it’s bloated and useless (I’m still grateful that people are reblogging) so let me give a couple of updates. I’ve been asking for 1000$ mainly for food and transportation, and I’ve received 800$ out of this, from which I spent 100$ (mostly in transportation and lately in food) I have things to eat for at least the coming week but I would still like to reach my goal.

Basically I’m asking for 300$ and for people to help me out practically by taking things off my wishlist, as my OCD symptoms have greatly increased and the number of things in my house I can’t touch, both because of OCD and abuse is sky high.

I’m seeing all the posts on my timeline asking for help, so I can understand prioritizing other people in your online/in person communities you feel are more in need.
