This is an informative post about Statisticalcats’ Discord Server under the name of Unashamed Felinity.

It’s going to be very long, so buckle up.

I joined this server, admittedly, to talk about ships I wouldn’t usually be able to talk about openly on the feed. I have always been a believer in letting people do and ship what they want as long as they’re not hurting anyone. This means that I do ship things like incest and non/con, but I would never expose a minor to that kind of thing or put it openly on my blog, because I know it can be harmful and triggering. 

When I first joined, I had access to all parts of the server, including the controversial and nsfw channels.

I messaged Satisticalcats to ask about role locking certain channels, but as I did not know her very well, I tried to be polite and nonchalant about it.

She was relying on an honor system, and for Discord’s nsfw channel permissions (which are really easily bypassed). This made me really uncomfortable, but I didn’t say anything just yet because no minors had joined so far. Luckily, someone else in the server brought up the same point, and Statisticalcats finally agreed and locked the channels.

Now would be a great time to let you know that Whitmerule is 37-years-old, and Statisticalcats is 26-years-old. They are right, minors will want to explore nsfw content by themselves and possibly with other minors. However, it made me incredibly uncomfortable that these adults in and close to their thirties took it upon themselves to create a space where they could expose minors to incest, large age gap ships, and other controversial and inappropriate ships. It should make you uncomfortable too. I will reiterate that I am not against shipping these things in your own circles, but this made me feel sick.

My experiences in the server only got worse from there. They have a locked channel under the name of “problematical-chats” where they talk about discourse that goes on in the fandom itself. This is where they specifically name certain anti-shippers, insult them, try to analyze their psychological states, and accuse them of bullying and abuse. The specific users that have been mentioned are @rumplteazer​ , @zitface​ , @tuggoffelees​ , @incorrectcats​ , and, of course, @tantomiles​ . You probably recognize these urls as prominent members of the fandom.

They are specifically obsessed with tumblr user @tantomiles , and have targeted them multiple times, often blaming them for being the cause of the fandom’s drama. It’s actually obsessive. The theory that Tantomiles is “grooming” their friends and “brainwashing and manipulating” them has been thrown around, as if all these people couldn’t possibly hold the same opinions.

OH, remember when Jellicle-ho got “cancelled” for misgendering Tantomiles? but did you know that all of them actually all do it all the time?

Oh and let’s not forget the looooong psycho-analyses of these people (that are incredibly personal and literally nobody asked for them)

I don’t feel like unpacking the fact that the 37-year-old who’s open to helping teens work out their sex stuff also “works professionally with vulnerable young people”. Anyway, I’m just really sick and tired of these people acting high and mighty. Yes, I ship incest. Yes, I ship other dark shit. No, I don’t openly share my thoughts with minors, and no, I don’t obsess over people who find my interests LITERALLY TRIGGERING. Ugh. I have the basic moral sense not to shove peoples’ triggers in their faces and then act like they’re the ones ruining the fandom.

Let me end this with the clarification that I decided to make this post by myself because I wanted to, anyone mentioned here had nothing to do with my decision, nor did they even know I was making it. I mean, these people are LITERALLY BREAKING THE LAW. Oh, did you forget that it’s illegal to expose minors to adult content? Did you forget that incest/pedophilia/dark fiction COUNTS as adult content? You’re lucky I don’t have the energy to report your server and get you banned from Discord for good. Here’s my jellicle OC! Meet Tyimo the poet cat! They live in a bookstore and like to climb the shelves and sit on chairs and desks (they like to be tall.) Tyimo is generally very helpful and can be a little timid, most of the time they’re content following others/helping others accomplish what they want to. When it is their time to shine, though, the second pic is the outfit they wear in their song!

Tyimo both collects and writes poetry, so they’ve got big stacks of books and paper and they have a giant pen (think like Bustopher Jones’ giant spoon prop.) They’re also a HUGE romantic and write sappy poetry about pretty queens, but they’re far too embarrassed to send any. Tyimo is very reserved but clever with words and loves to be helpful to others.

I am alerted to uppastthejelliclemoon's precense after she posts some shit about that racist misogynistic homophobe we all know and love for writing alpha male munkustrap fanfiction and how shit has been taken too far over some shitpost blah blah blah idk. I scroll thru her blog being like what kind of person posts this? Seriously? And i stumble upon this au she had been indulging in which is terrible and you can look it up for yourselves. Apparently this was the second time this kind of thing has happened as well (being that she writes disgusting shit and gets called out for it) so let's keep that in mind.

Anyway im discussing this with my friend as we are both disgusted by this and he messages uppastthejelliclemoon directly asking for clarification. She doesnt respond. I get impatient and point out the fact that this shit exists on my own blog and tag her so she can have an oppurtunity to explain herself. She doesnt respond.

To the people reading this im sure youve realized im not a pleasant speaker when i know im right and am speaking to people who will die on a hill of nasty shit of their own making.

My friend, however, as you can tell from just the excerpt of their conversation is very respectable. He's gentle and factual and calm as he explains himself. He would ask me and his other friends if what he wrote was too harsh or innacurate before sending them for you see, he has a stress condition. Its very clearly stated on his blog that im sure uppastthejelliclemoon and friends have seen as they are able to message him.

See, I think my friend here did a great job handling this situation considering his stress condition, and i do not think that him having a stress condition exempts him from speaking his mind and defending himself. (Which jelliclemoon's friend ruvyr will later say the opposite of in the screenshots that follow, which is ableist, by the way, but lets keep going).

However, when you are discussing an issue with someone you know has a stress condition and you start to dogpile onto him with your other friend who has nothing but insults and a way of twisting their words to suit your narrative?

Maybe dont do that. Because now my friend had to vomit due to this outright gaslighting.

See, i have received zero messages from these people directly because they know that I wont be nice. They pick on someone weaker, my aforementiond friend, who did exactly as uppastthejelliclemoon had asked in the first place.
