Self Meditation. || Prof. Hawks & Irene
Irene bit her lip as the floor creaked. Damn, she hadn’t wanted to disturb the teacher. If she’d been Judith she would have had a few choice words to say to that loose floorboard, but oh well. Maybe if she just didn’t move for a moment the woman wouldn’t notice, and she could tiptoe her way out.
She’d been looking for somewhere to get away from everyone. Her embarrassing emotional breakdown at the New Years party still made her face turn red when she thought about it, and she didn’t want to run into Allison. Irene felt guilty for the way she’d treated her friend.
She needed an escape from the drama–it was all stupid, anyway. That was how she found herself in the big open room, its high-vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors making sounds echo.Â
"Ah, sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt. Go back to meditating, I’m just wandering." She bit her lip in chagrin.Â
Victoria almost gasped at the sight of the girl. Something about the girl, made Victoria almost want to scream and mother the girl. Who knows why, but dear god, she seemed awkward for a word. "Are you okay, Miss?" she was raking her mind for the girls name, but nothing came to mind. For once she actually felt terrible for not knowing the girls name, sitting back in the sun, she sat cross legged and invited the girl to meditate with her. "Meditation gives one inner peace" she spoke softly, hoping to make the girl feel more welcome and a little less awkward, the pauses in the air was killing her.
