a soft sigh escaped her lips as she was awoken from her slumber to the feeling of ... moving . her bedsheets were .. lifting ? it was only at the wave of warmth did she realize what was happening , only once she felt the other body softly press up against her back . violet rolled over , somewhat awkwardly , to find her eyes attempting to focus on clementine . it was dark , but she could just about make her out . violet was almost too groggy from sleep to feel embarrassed . no words left her lips for those few moments , and instead she put her arm around the other girl , pulling her in closer , feeling clem’s cheek press up against her chest . violet laid her chin upon the top of clem’s head , wondering how she always managed to smell so lovely despite the lack of showers . they had only kissed once , that single time upon the bell tower , yet being with her now .. lying with her for the first time , it felt so right .

it had seemed like a cool idea at first , y’know , a sort of SLUMBER PARTY . and it was ! super , mega cool . violet always enjoyed hanging out with clem , i mean , what wasn’t there to like ? now the school is BIG , but even so , even with so many rooms to choose from ... in times like these , it’s understandable to not want to be alone .

violet had everything all planned out . they’d play a few games , pass around the gossip that they’d no doubt already heard fifty times over , have some hushed whispers under the moonlight of their bedroom .. and then violet would kiss her . and if that went well , violet had more to ask of her . but ! in all likelihood , clem would no doubtedly scoff in her face and vi would leap from the bell tower in shame .

violet had TRIED again and again to find the right moment , that one perfect second where she knew she had her chance , but it just seemed to not come . she looked into clem’s eyes and just ... COULDN’T . it was only once some clouds drifted their way in front of the moonbeams , only once the room was temporarily brought into darkness , only whilst clem started to say ‘ shit , let me get one of the candles ---------- ’

it was then , in a blind moment of passion , that violet moved her head forward and pressed her lips up against clementine’s . it lasted for about three seconds , but felt like an infinity . it was one of the best kisses she’d ever had .
