The people who get really, scarily into it are usually creeps who use the holiday as an excuse to unveil their creep identity to the world. I admit every year I wait in anticipation, hoping one of the secret creeps’ll try something on me so I can flip them bodily into the floor. ”

“ I am nearly positive that the sole purpose of the holiday is to make other people look like fools. A nice, family-friendly, light-hearted, mean-spirited day of celebration. ”
“ Oh, shut up, ” Victoria snapped. The strangers hadn’t spoken to her, but they were staring --- gawking really ! --- and not at her outfit or hair or anything. She hadn’t had time to wash up after leaving the club, hadn’t wanted to, and now she had probably had blood stains to show for it. ( she could feel it on her knuckles, too, where the skin was split; and she knew it was likely falling onto her legs, the way she was holding herself ) Victoria turned her head as she carried on, sticking her tongue out at the group she’d spoken to. She didn’t even notice the other person on the walkway until she ran solidly into them, her left half all turned back. “ Ugh ! Fuck !! “

“ You can see the lake from my room; a bit of the trunk, but don’t get your panties in a twist, it is mostly lake. It really would be better seen in person, though. ”

Could you point me in the direction of the, uhm– the gardens?” The raven haired girl stumbled over her words, an embarrassed blush creeping onto her cheeks. This was the third time this week she’d lost her way. But to be fair, the school’s campus was rather confusing.
“ Really? You don’t say, that lost little doe look in your eyes wasn’t hint enough, not at all,” Victoria’s lips curled in a sharp little smile, at odds with her lazy pose, all sprawled out on a bench, and the even lazier hand she lifted towards her left. “ You can’t exactly miss the gardens, doll, they’re big and green and over that way. Boring, though, so you should be thankful you did. “

“ Oh I know, they never really feel the same again. “ This had easily been one of Margaret’s longest conversations in the week without really touching the subject of her skating– though it was present enough in her mind for Maggie not to forget asking about her perfermance as a polite, well grown and educated girl like herself should’ve.
“ Well, that’s reaffirming, if nothing else, ” Victoria’s replied, casting a preoccupied glance at her nails, currently coated in something silvery --- thought that was chipping, and she dreaded having to take it off. “ Oh well. I’ll just try and see if I can find that stuff for sale. “

“ Why, everything about it. It’s an act of physical release, sweetheart, and I’m sure you’ll find most of those do relieve stress. But yeah, I guess there must be a lotta different ways, since there’s a lotta different people. Hm --- oh, mine’s Victoria --- why not ? ”

Margaret let out a soft laugh at the mention of the cuticles. The ladies at the salon always did try to mess about with her cuticles. “ Well I honestly get them done because I’m useless at painting my right hand, just tell them to let my cuticles be beforehand. But I think they do sell the materials somewhere. ”
Victoria hummed, all thoughtful. “ Just telling them to leave them well enough alone does seem like a simple solution, now that you’ve said it, ” she admitted with a tone so breezy it was hard to see she’d conceded anything at all. “ It just makes my hands feel so strange, when they push at them, and my performance relies on my hands. “

handshakes cannot be pretty. handshakes are meant to be firm. gets off on a good handshake ?? i am not sure what you mean by that, but i am sure you do not mean well. i am not sure what i have done to you for you to act in such a childish and disrespectful way.
