WHAT  TO  EXPECT Roleplay  at  100-500  word  replies,  third  person,  past  tense.  Replies  as  promptly  as  I  can  provide  them  on  this  LIGHT  ACTIVITY  blog.  I’m  an  uncle  aged  man  with  a  full-time  job  and  add  please  have  mercy.  CANON  DIVERGENCE  The  only  difference  with  my  Vox  is  that  he  died  while  wearing  a  dead  wristwatch,  which  ultimately  lead  to  his  death.  Part  of  his  curse  as  a  sinner  is  that  he  cannot  fucking  control  his  relationship  to  time  and  space.  This  will  explain  why  he  is  talking  to  duplicates,  other  selves  &  future  versions  of  characters.  It  also  makes  him  just  a  little  bit  more  tragic  and  lets  me  play  with  the  cosmic  ennui  of  it  all.  His  starting  point  takes  place  PRIOR  to  when  Alastor  rejected  him.  He  still  thinks  that  they  are  friends.

Vincent’s breaths pulled long and heavy through jagged teeth, his narrow shoulders slumped forward as a bloodied pipe swayed in one hand. Blood dripped down one side of his mouth as he turned to regard the voice, one eye set in a spiral. Behind him the bodies of three sinners lay broken and pulverized; something that hadn’t been strictly necessary. They had begun to beg after one round of lightning, but that hadn’t been the point. The point was that they had tried him. And for that? The overlord wanted them to feel it, and feel it, and feel it until they felt nothing at all. The hypnotism kept their screams just quiet enough for most people not to notice.

But the tall order at the end of the alleyway had. Judging by his statement he wasn’t looking to learn the same lesson. Vincent laughed a huff of a laugh, wiping his mouth on one dandelion colored sleeve.

“Yeah. That’s kind of the point. Dumb fucks like this never expect it,” he said, straightening up before lumbering towards the other sinner, eyes roaming the patterns of his wings, a bit dazed and still wary. His gaze scrolled upwards, becoming wide and doe-like before a blue claw came out clean as he offered it up.

“Vox! Don’t go spreading what you saw around, mmkay? I don’t want the trouble, and besides. You seem smarter than that,” he said brightly, finding a higher, sweeter register. The voice of truth, the arbiter of television news. “And you are?”

Vincent stared down at his paper, the date being October 9th, 1956. He had finally done it, he’d gotten back to the fifties. Now all he had to do was try and figure out how to stay there. When Alastor’s voice rang out from across the diner he had cozied up in he immediately flattened the paper against the table, damn near spilling his coffee everywhere as he shifted out of his seat and practically dove at Alastor. Unsure of what to even do with himself once he got there he tucked his hands under his armpits to keep himself from fucking the whole thing up, from looking more over-excited than he already did. Fat chance.

“Yes!! Yes- fuck- sorry, shit- yes. Why wait for tonight? I’m not busy right now, are you busy right now? Actually, look, I’m sorry if you’ve got plans can you cancel them? Please? I just…”

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and exhaled.

“I need to see you. I don’t care what we do, just… let’s have fun, okay?”

His eyes were burning, thoughts too fast to keep up with. How long had it been? Was this even the same Alastor he knew? It felt like it. Fuck he needed a win. He tried to stay casual, his voice came out strangled.
