In the latter half of 2024 I had a great pleasure of illustrating a sequence for Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake's season 2. The drawings are based on storyboards by Kris Mukai and art directed Sandra Lee.

The final animation can be seen in the s02e01 cold open over at HBO, while clips from it to be found in the embed below (here's a direct link to the instagram reel if you prefer it sandboxed).

I had the opportunity to storyboard the intro for Fionna and Cake season 2 and this was the original animatic I put together for it!

Huge appreciation to Smallbu Animation for going so freaking hard animating the final sequence. It's gorgeous and I am so honored that these boards got such a loving treatment. And also thanks to composer Amanda Jones for the heart pumping score!

A couple months ago, I was asked to design some poses for some standees of Fionna & Cake and Huntress Wizard. It was a rather quick turnaround!
