Dancing Lights - Tromsø, Norway 2026

One magical night when the aurora danced across the sky. This was on our first night in Tromsø, when the sky was clear enough to reveal the dancing green lights. We stayed four nights in Tromsø and five nights in Senja, and only got to see it once; but what a spectacle it was: visible from the city, from the car, and even from the window of our accommodation.

Stillness vs. Chaos - Senja, Norway 2026

These two shots were taken at Tungeneset, on the same day less than an hour apart.

The composition is similar, but the results are completely different. In the first image, I used a slow shutter speed to smooth out the water and the sky, which gives it a calmer, quieter feel. In the second image, I wanted to capture the tension and the motion, so I switched to a faster speed and caught the waves mid-impact, which makes everything feel much more intense and chaotic. Just like this beautiful island.

PS: I even managed to soak my feet more than once while shooting the second image.
