âSo Iâm thick now? Damn, at least let me get my pants off first.â
maniacmully:
â are you saying iâm thick?âÂ
âDepends on your version of thick.â He laughed.
maniacmully:
â speak for yourself, vik. iâm pretty confidentâÂ
âUnless youâre cheatinâ your ass off, I highly doubt that.â
â iâm basically revising by watching you revising, thereâs not much point doing anything else. iâll clearly pass with flying colours just by turning upâÂ
âAs if either of us will pass with any color.â
She frowned slightly. âWell it would certainly be a weird family dynamic, kids donât need that confusion growing up- we should know, Finn still doesnât quite grasp the idea of a normal healthy relationship from our upbringing. The only way he could cause trouble is if âBash is his, he could file for paternal rights, but ultimately it comes down to the mother, if she put you on the certificate he has no cards to play.â she explained, her knowledge on parental and family rights almost up there with a lawyers knowledge. âBut I admire your strength in this, Effyâs lucky to have you- platonically or not.â
Vik just shrugged. âItâs always gonna be weird, but they know how we work. I love Elizabeth, even if Iâm not in love with her, she loves me, and we both have our ways with others. But no matter what, we lay everything down for our kids, itâs just how we do things... Our kidâs will know that you donât have to be in love with someone to love âem... Like I love you.â He smiled at his friend, white pearls beaming in the street lights. âI donât care about any of the paperwork, I just wanna be in their lives, yâknow? Thanks babe.â

âTerrible idea, I already know Vi would go for the gun. Sheâs far too impatient for puzzles.â She smirked, glancing at her still giggling daughter. So much happier than she ever remembered being. âOf course, Freddie wouldnât hurt a fly. He and Bash will be practically brothers, guaranteed.â Mona agreed with the other, grinning as the little boy let out a squeal of delight. âI never paid attention to him! I knew about Rod but Merlin⊠I so wish I could be there when he realises. Can you imagine the look on his face? I suppose itâll be in all the papers, at least thatâs something⊠Weâll just have to read all about it.â
The air filled with laughter, Vik throwing his head back with an abundance of chuckles. âWell, sheâs a smart one then. The impatient ones always are.â He beamed, rocking bash in his pale arms. He couldnât help but notice the difference in their skin tones, but brushed it off. Bash was his, no matter the paternity. âThey better be, my little one needs a good brother, even if theyâre just cousins--- Well, ya shouldâve. Merlin, Iâll bet she fucks up and does it in public on mistake. Both of âem are in the spotlight at all times now, someoneâs bound to get a picture of it.â

it was rather strange to know that there was a routine in place for them. that heâd arrive home at the same time every single night. nothing had ever changed since they had moved in together, started this weird family. she liked it sometimes, although there was nights she wished sheâd have someone coming home to her that was smitten with her, completely in love. âi am fine, tired in all honesty. it was fine, they were very well behaved, we went out for lunch.â she answered, leaning into him slightly, the make up off her face made her look younger, more tired than before. it was something that elizabeth sometimes disliked about herself but with viktor, it had never made a difference, after all, he was her best friend. âi just finished cooking some pasta, do you want some?â
While he liked the excitement of having a thousand different women any time he wanted, there was nothing better than this--- coming home to a woman that he loved no matter what, that he cared for and knew cared for him, and to a family that was his. He planted a kiss to the redheadâs temple, a smile playing on his lips. âWell, weâll get ya in bed as soon as we can, huh? Surprise Winnie didnât destroy the place.â Soft, exhausted chuckles fell from his lips. âPasta? Sounds amazing, Iâd love some.â

the french witch stood in the kitchen, placing food on plates. the kids with the nanny. she was needing time just her, she didnât want kids and she had a lot to reflect on. as she heard the footsteps approaching, she turned around with the softest of smile. âwelcome home. are you alright?â it was how she normally addressed him after he got home, unsure how else she was supposed to. it had been four years and even now, she wasnât sure how to be around him sometimes, especially the more she looked at sebastien and saw damien in his features. âgood day doing whatever?â elizabeth kept a wide smile on her lips, hoping that he wouldnât spot the worry on her face.
It had been an extra long night at work, but he had ran home just to make sure he arrived at the same time he did every night. It was something important to him, and heâd be damned if he let it slip. Padding feet into the kitchen, he threw his bag down and smiled at his wife. âNice to be home--- Iâm fine, and you? How did today go?â He moved over, softly wrapping an arm around her like he always did. He knew this had to be uncomfortable for her, at least in the beginning, so he always tried his hardest to help her ease in. âIt was alright. long day, but itâs better now Iâm home.â

âOh absolutely. Theyâll either love eachother or loathe eachother.â She snorted delicately as little Frederic stumbled over to her as best he could before he collapsed at her feet, hugging her legs. Much more a mummyâs boy than Vi she thought as she scooped him to sit on her lap where he curled up happily. Mona shrugged, âApparently she just doesnât care, itâs all for appearances and probably sex.â She murmured the last part, for the sake of the children. Her eyes only grew wider, âPortia? No way! How did I not know about any of this?â The girl tutted at herself, âSo it must be his then? Does he know?â
âIf they loathe, weâll do what my mom did. Shove them into a locked room with a loaded gun and a puzzle. They choose the outcome.â He smiled, looking down to Fred and Bash. âThese two are bound to get along. Boys gotta stay together.â He leaned over, ticking the boyâs side for a moment. âWell, he is hot... Thatâs what Iâm saying! How didnât you know? She only slept with two guys in 7th year, and Silas is the only one she fucked in the time range... I donât think he does, but heâs bound to catch on. The only thing that kid got from her mother was her eyes. Everything else is definitely from Silas.â
âTheyâll learn things the Taylor-Chittock way also.â she said. At the mention of Damien she sneered a little. âDamien can suck my dick- âBash is getting raised a Travers whether he likes it or not. If he starts getting fresh, send him my way, my boot has been looking for an arse to kick for a while nowâ she said, her tone serious.Â
He smiled. âGood, they better--- Iâm raising the kid no matter what, it just depends on whether or not heâs gonna be in the picture. That kid is always gonna be mine.â He sighed. âI donât mind if itâs his, I really donât, but I do mind if he tries to take Bash away.â

Desdemona laughed at the interaction between the two cousins, the sound sounding as pretty as always. Violette let out a squealing giggle, allowing the other to fawn over her, enjoying attention as much as her mother did. Shifting again, Mona hugged a leg to her chest and nodded. âIâve friends in Paris who say everyone knows about it. She just lets him. Oh she absolutely would murder you, worth a shot though.â She laughed again. A look of surprise flashed across her features, âNo way? Whoâs his ex? Was it anyone from our school?â
He laughed, rocking Bash in his arms as he sucked from a baby bottle. âThey sure do love each other... If they donât grow up as best friends, Iâm suing.â He teased, leaning a bit closer to her. âWell shit, sheât gotta be doing something then, right? Like fucking all his friends, having an affair with a model or something... right? Hey, it was worth a shot.â He smiled, but nodded. âYeah--- You know that blonde, the one who became a singer for the Muggles? Portia Yaxley... Remember, they were fucking for a few months at the end of 7th year. And guess how old the kid is? Almost Four.â

âVi, non.â The mother scolded her two year old daughter who had snatched her brothers green crayon, eyebrows raised until she handed it back with a pout. Once things settled once again, Mona turned back to Viktor with a scandalised smile on her face. âI heard that Narcissa Blackâs so called boyfriend is sleeping his way through her entire staff, and she knows heâs doing it.â
Viktor couldnât help the smile that lifted to the tops of his lips as she scolded the girl, but he sent her a thumbs up anyway. Itâs not like sheâd expect anything less from him. âWinnie, keep her in check, âaight?â He raised his brows at his nearly-four daughter, but she just through back a giggle and tackled the only girl in a hug. But what he heard had his eyes snapping back. âWait--- really? Holy shit... Do you think sheâll kill me in my sleep if I apply for a job?â His natural smirk rose, eyebrows dancing. âAnyways, thatâs nothing. You know that kid, Silas Chamberlin? Well, heâs back in town, and his ex has a kid... And itâs definitely not her boyfriendâs.â
She rolled her eyes. âYes, someones got to keep an eye on that bunch of Artful Dodgers youâre going to raise. Donât let missus hear you say that though- I think she already distrusts me for hanging around too much.â she said, smirking.Â
Viktor scoffed, throwing his head back in a laugh. âEffy could never hate you. She knows who I am, she knows those kids are going to learn a thing or two the Travers way. Hell, Iâve taught âer to pick a lock here and there myself. Damien is who ya have tâ worry about. If Sebastien is his, then he might not want our dirty little hands on âem.â
She scowled, slapping the side of his head. âWatch your cheek, Vicky.â she warned, although there was indeed a teasing tone to it. She sighed, rubbing her eyes. âIâve been raising kids since I could walk and talk, the novelty has quite worn off. Iâm never having children and I plan to avoid them at all costs from now on. And this new-age parenting is a bunch of crap.â she added, spitefully.Â
He mocked a pout, but swing an arm around her nevertheless. âAvoid all but mine, right? My kiddos still need their God mother--- who else is gonna teach them to use those pretty little eyes to âbegâ on the street? A womanâs touch is far more productive than a manâs.â
She nodded, secretly glad he was doing okay. At least one of them was. She waved off his comment. âEh, I couldâve done better but I was literally hanging out of my arse that evening- I was in a shit mood already so I guess it just added to the theme.â she commented. Except she was in a shit mood constantly and couldnât remember a time she was ever truly sober. âNext week got these women coming on to talk about this new age parenting their attempting. Just what I need. To talk about brats-â she said, bitterly.Â
âArenât you always?â The man attempted to tease, nudging his friendâs side afterwards. âHey, I remember a time when you were ecstatic about kids, you just donât have to do this whole new-age thing, thatâs all.â
âStraight to it huh? Well Iâm just great. Life is peachy.â she said, a forced smile on her face, to hide the dripping sarcasm behind her reply. âHow about you?â
He cocked a brow, seeing straight through her lie, but decided to ignore it. She wouldnât tell him unless she wanted to, anyways. âThatâs good--- Iâve been alright, bit stressed, but good all the same. I caught you on air the other day, nice shit.â
âA whole week? Oh how have you coped?â she sighed, sarcastically, but knowing he wouldnât stop until she said yes she nodded and turned back round to start walking. âPerhaps not hard, but shaking ya thing must get exerting. Come on then Mr Moneypants, you can buy me a pizza slice on the way.â she said, caving in, just wanting to get home as quick as she could.
âTerribly,â His retort was followed with a gentle laugh, one of which he wasnât sure came out right. But, as he expected, she caved, and in so a smile was brought to his lips. âDeal. So, Glenny, how have you been?â
