Hi! So. It turns out that Discord will not let you DM people who you don't already know. While it presumably keeps the bots down and people safer, I do wish we had realized this about a month ago, and not this morning. Our bad. :/ We collected discord handles, which we can't message, and Ao3 handles, which we can't message. We purposefully didn't ask for emails to give participates as much privacy as we could, but that puts us into a bind of our own making. PLEASE. If you signed up for the Bang, AND did not already get an invite because we could find you on a mutual server, PLEASE DM this account, give us either your Discord or Ao3 handle so we can check you off the list, and we will reply with the link to the coordination chat. (Super late) Viktuuri Week-Oct 7: Travel

Adventure calls! At first I planned to draw a funny short comic for my second @viktuuri-week entry (with an idea I've had since last year) but it would've taken me waaaaaay longer to finish, then I thought about a chibi illustration. I got inspired by those anime endings that have a super cute and cheerful syle 💙

I couldn't finish my @viktuuri-week pieces on time due to a mix of irl obligations and the curse of ADHD so I'm super late but hey, that mean's y'all get to enjoy the event for a little longer 😅

Anyway, childhood friends AU anyone? 👉👈 Prompt for Monday Oct 6 was First Meetings and this was the first thing that came to mind. This was meant as a one-off thing so I didn't put much thought into it but, uh, imagine Viktor's parents travel a lot and choose Hasetsu for one of their holidays. And the onsen is super popular and attracts tourists from all over the world so the Katsukis have learned some English enough to introduce themselves and each other and guide guests around. Also I love the idea of Hiroko having longer hair when younger 🤎

A canon-compliant piece set during the summer of mutual pining (realises I have forgotten that tag and goes to add it to the AO3 piece) although by this point the pining is mostly resolved.

I had really wanted to get this done to post on the day, but alas. most of this was written in a notebook while I was at work, with the hope I'd type it up and finish it when I got home. and I was close. but anyhow. I sure was glad I had this concept real solid and had written most of it already before I read the rest of y'all's. Some of us had some real similar ideas going, which is FUN!!!! but I'm still glad mine was pretty solid before I read some of the others that I adored

this came across my dash recently and it seemed to me to be the perfect piece to end Viktuuri Week 2025 with. Thank you all so much for carrying the dream with us and sharing all your wonderful pieces! We got so many great fics and artworks, and even an AMV and a comedic video, which were both new for us! It's been so fun to see everyone creating and supporting each other!

I know there will probably be some pieces still coming in over the next few days (listen i really thought i was gonna get my day 7 piece together but it's after midnight where i am and i need to go to sleep), from a few people who have said they're still working on things, and we'll definitely still reblog those!
